My dad is co-sponsoring my husband. If my mother and father filed taxes jointly but my mom is a housewife, income $0, I understand she needs to fill out I-864a to accompany my dad's I-864. However, under part 3, do I check off that she filed taxes or not? And would I then include my dad's income? This is in reference to Part 4 question 1. Technically she filed taxes with my dad but all the returns are for my dad's I-864 and would be included with his form and I'm only filling out I-864a to show that it's entirely my dad's income. Thank you-- just super confused.

Tell the truth.  They file a joint tax return.  That's filing taxes.  Her current income is $0 but the information that goes in the three spaces for past tax returns will be identical for Mom an Dad.
