@Mavie mayflor Provide all the information about your case #, email address of petitioner & beneficiary', both your passport number & attach pdf file of your NVC approval & screenshot of your CEAC status (pdf format) with your request to transfer.  They mentioned about Iranian coz they don't have USEM in Iran, so they do the interview in AbuDhabi as well.

Hi guys! we finally got out packet 3 (email) last Jul 23... I've already scheduled my interview for Sep 5, this was the earliest available date. My concern is that our NOA2 validity date is until Aug 25... will I need to contact the embassy to request to extend the validity of our NOA2? or will they(USEm) automatically adjust the validity from their end? What should I do?

Technically, I am not at fault .. as I can only schedule the appointment once I received the packet 3 right? Has anyone been through this scenario as well?

NOA1: OCT 16,2017
NOA2: APR 26,2018
NVC CASE ASSIGNED: MAY 16,2018
NVC LEFT:MAY 20,2018
CONSULATE RECEIVED: MAY 22,2018
PACKET 3 RECEIVED : JUL 23,2018

VISA APPROVED: SEP 5,2018.

Congratulations on receiving the packet3!!!! You don’t need to call the embassy for extension. They will automatically extend it. My noa2 expired last July 2 but was able to schedule for an interview last July 26. I had my interview with no issues and I didn’t contact the embassy for any extension.

@T.Yang Hi, we're on the same boat.  My NOA2 expiry was 25 March 2018 but I received packet 3 on 25 July.  As I've read on the site, the CO can automatically extend the validity of NOA2.

Hey everyone,

I'm having a kind of problem over here. My NOA2 dates say that it's valid till july 26 however, our interview appointment is not due till August 1? So i'm not to sure if i should email the embassy to extend it? Has anyone ever had this problem?

You're fine. The expiration should be auto-extended by the embassy as soon as you took action on your case. If you had done nothing, yes it would expire but the embassy understands interview dates sometimes aren't available, medical scheduling and all takes time, and some aren't done  until after the NOA2's expiration and all.

Hope this helps☺️

@RickyandJoc don't you have to wait until you receive packet 3 to fill out the DS-160?

You can actually do the ds160 while waiting for the packet3. As long as there will be no changes on the info your fiance provided on the ds160. You can start filling the info now and save it but the system can only keep the unsubmitted ds160 online for 30days from the time you saved it.

Please be reminded as stated by @RickyandJoc that upon creating the immigrant account to schedule the interview, you need to input your submitted ds160. Thus, ds160 first before making an immigration account.

Hi. I want to ask about joint sponsor. Do they accept joint sponsor in abu dhabi? And what are the requirements needed for them? Do they need their passport copy and birth certificate along with the W2, paystub and other proof of financial stability?

Posted

@Mabsy, hi. I have no experience on joint sponsorship. You can check on other threads here in VJ.

As i’ve read it is subject for approval based on the capacity of the co sponsor, so you can apply but make sure the capacity of co sponsor. All the requirements and proof you mentioned are required, double check on VJ thread. Good luck 😊

hi did anyone of you got a response from USEM abu dhabi that goes:

We have received your case electronically form NVC but unfortunately there is no space available for local scheduling. As soon as there is space we will contact you and send you the information about how to proceed with your case.

I really dont know what to do now since I had emphasized to my email that I already booked the appt and I was requesting fot the packet 3. but they replied with that im really confused

@kokokrunch Hi, did you checked your CEAC status if it's READY ?  If it's not ready yet, then maybe this is the reason why they sent this to you. Coz they will send only the packet 3 when your status is READY.  Even if you booked your appointment, you need to wait for your packet 3.  You can reschedule your appointment prior to the appointment date you set before (you need to calculate how much longer they will send) and make sure that packet 3 was received by your Petitioner or you by EMAIL.  Always check your email and petitioner's email.  Sender is ABUDHABI IV.

In my case, as soon as I saw CEAC status is READY, I asked my Petitioner-Fiance to email USEM and attached the screenshot of READY status with the CASE NO.  Next day, we received our packet 3 which was sent to us since 11 January (7 months passed). Not sure if my Fiance unintentionally deleted coz he's not aware of the AbuDhabi IV.

Hey @kokokrunch ... I received the same email reply from them. Some members scheduled and appeared on the visa appointment but got turned away. Thus I waited for my packet 3 first before scheduling the appointment. Let's hope your packet 3 arrives before your interview.

I did try a couple of times. I sent the UAE US Embassy a numerous emails requesting for the packet3 as it worked for others in the past. However, all I received was an automated reply. I tried to proceed with the interview without it thinking that it has been two months already since they’ve received it but they turned me away 😔. It took them 2 1/2 months to send us the packet3.
