How to know if your case is being worked on

So guys I was doing my research to find out the last time my case was "touched or updated". It direct my to the uscis website. In which I created my profile and so on. they based on the info that's listed with my case number the last update was actually in April.  

I'm honestly not sure if I can use the last update date to judge and say that's the last time any work was actually done in regards to my case..

I will really appreciate your input.

Ok, I see that you are atm at around 6 months since you got your NOA1..I would wait 3 more (hopefully you'll get your NOA2 before that) before doing anything. Seems like the waiting time for the office you sent the documents is on a 8.5 to 11 months waiting. So just think that you are soon getting to those 8.5 months and that mean that you should be getting news really soon!
