(I’ll just gently set this microphone down here on the stage floor and exit left...)

This year should be better than 2012, when the European Union won, beating out Bradley Manning and Bill Clinton, among others.

Putin is usually nominated every year as well. The official list is not released until 50 years after the winner is announced so we don't really have the all inclusive list of extraordinary  (and ordinary) nominees.

Of course they did. They have to make sure to be on good terms with Trump now that they've invited a bunch of US Marines to scare off Russia.

I have to admit though that Trump has done a good job with Kim Jong Un and treated him like a human being that can be talked to instead of treating him like a 3 year old by threatening him like the previous presidents have done. They're also on pretty much the same maturity level so that works in his favor too in this case.

That's why I said they're on the same maturity level. But at least they've talked.

Whatever it does mean, nominations seem to mean even less.

"Nominations for the world’s most coveted prize are open to lawmakers, academics and researchers from around the world. The Nobel Committee in Oslo typically receives hundreds of nominations each year, and past candidates have also included Russian President Vladimir Putin and Former Cuban leader Fidel Castro. A record 330 people were nominated this year."

He's in a wonderfully select group, which includes Putin and Castro.

The prize has been so disgraced by Obama if I were him and I was awarded the prize I would refuse to accept it.

Let's be honest though. You know he would never do that.

Trump is not the kind of person to decline an award, or compliment, of any type. Like him or hate him, I think we can all agree he is not a humble man.

If I was as omnipotent as Trump I would not be humble either
