K-1 Visa is an one time entry visa.... so Officer would assuming that would stay in the country.

yes one way is totally fine !

we bought one way instead, though some people bought round trip ticket as it is cheaper :)

WHAT ABOUT YOU. DID YOU BUY ONE WAY TICKET FROM USA TO HER COUNTRY? WERE YOU ABLE TO COME BACK TO USA TOGETHER IN THE SAME FLIGHT?

Hi- I came into the US on a K1 visa in April and had a one way ticket- no issues at all with doing this. hope this helps.

WHAT ABOUT YOUR SPONSOR. DID HE/SHE BUY A ONE WAY TICKET FROM USA TO THE BENEFICIARY'S COUNTRY? WERE YOU ABLE TO COME BACK TO USA TOGETHER IN THE SAME FLIGHT?

J US-Citizen bought ( obviously) round trip, well we made an arrangement so that we have the same date on the flight back to US. it should be doable.

DID YOU BOTH CAME ON THE SAME FLIGHT? IF SO, HOW CAN I DO THIS? I THINK IS GONNA BE SOLD OUT CAUSE YOU HAVE TO WAIT FOR THE VISA TO BOOK FLIGHT. HOW CAN WE COORDINATE TO COME ON THE SAME FLIGHT?

well you shouldn't book anything before VOH. that's the rule.

you can buy yours with possibility changing date. once she got her visa then you book her and you could change yours to her ticket date.

or you buy flight back ticket with estimation time round her visa will be received then you buy her flight the same time like yours.

edit : the best go to travel agent if booking online is too complicated.

I booked on the same flight but that's because I bought one way tickets for both of us to the USA. We had her visa in hand when I made the trip over to spend time with her and her family then we flew back to the USA together.

Also please fill out your timeline and stop with all caps because that means you are screaming at people.

I’m pretty sure the op was asking about their ticket to the beneficiary’s country to attend the interview. You need to check the country rules, usually if you’re not a citizen you need round trip ticket or you may be denied entry. I would just get round trip ticket anyways because it will be way cheaper and because it could take a long time for your fiancé to receive their visa even if approved at the interview. They could be under AP for a while and there’s just no way of knowing. Just plena to be back to the US without your fiancé and they will either have to make the trip alone or you’ll need another trip there just to bring them which is honestly not needed and just a waste of money in my opinion.

I've entered many countries with a one way ticket, Including Vietnam, and they did ask why I came on a one way, I told them I was leaving from a Neighboring country in a few months. They said your visa is only good for 30 days, and I assured them I would be out of their country within 30 days, not to worry, and I was across the border well within 30 days. So, I would say no problem on a one way it if you want. Just make sure you don't overstay the visa you get, and buying a ticket last minute can get expensive.

Here on a K1? Need married and a Certificate in hand within a few hours? I'm here to help. Come to Vegas and I'll marry you Vegas style!!   Visa Journey members are always FREE for my services. First wait for visa on hand. Second, ask the airline just to make triple sure they let you fly one way. Third, my fiance flew with a one way ticket from Kiev to Atlanta with Turkish air. They new the moment i mentioned K-1 to the agent at the counter, she new what i had asked.

On my recent trip few months ago, i recall they only check your visa and passport and you show your boarding ticket stub to show which flight you came in from.  I never was asked to show proof of return trip on any of my 3 trips to Vietnam.  They will assume you will stay the full month the visitors are allowed and stamp your visa accordingly.  No worries.  Just say Hello and smile to the immigration officer.  :D
