PDOS (Pre-Departure Registration and Orientation Seminar) is for ages 20-59.  Peer Counseling is for 13-19 years of age.

It is required to have the visa in their passport for PDOS and Peer Counseling.

 

GCP (Guidance and Counseling Program) is for K-1 Fiancee and IR/CR-1 spouse ONLY.

In my case the Embassy did ask to see my divorce and they kept the files as it made the rounds at the Embassy.  They were even stapled to the affidavit when I attested and they notarized.  That was my case anyway.  

 

Also, a majority of Americans that were there for the affidavit had their SO with them.  Dozens of them.  I didn't and I saw no advantage to them being there.  They just sat in the chair while the USC talked to the Embassy officials.

Yes. They actually took it and clipped it to the affidavit. They also asked me questions about the divorce. I’m not sure if everyone got that treatment but I did.
