Isn’t it blindingly obvious that everyone that is here is because either they or a close relative are an immigrant? Why do you suppose we would be anti immigrant?

Well which is why I was suprised with the tone of the answers like "finding a loophole, immoral, not an immigrant, temporary visa" As if no one really wants anyone to work here at all.

It was in response to the post that you “should” be working in the area you are getting your green card sponsored for.

Why ? there are "citizens" on the streets who cause nothing but trouble, while hard working immigrants are trying to make a good living, how is that immoral ? If I go into fashion or work in computers, and yet pay my taxes and help the economy, isnt that better than illegal immigrants who might be involved in crimes ?

If you want to continue misinterpreting something that’s already been explained and keep venting about an obvious chip on your shoulder, that’s your business, I don’t feel a need to engage that. You’ve been given good advice here, sorry it’s not what you want to hear.

Well, this just shows up yet another loophole in the whole H1B process, right? Seen countless posts by people who dump their employers as soon as they get their green cards.  But as long as the law allows someone to change jobs or professions once they get a green card, OP can do it if s/he wants despite it not being, what, the moral approach?

Yep.

H1b is ripe with significant fraud, and based on posts in other forums (murthy etc), plenty of moolah changes hands under the table for an employer to file a PERM.

I-751 journey

10/18/2017.......... I-751 package received VSC

10/30/2017.......... Check cashed

11/02/2017.......... Conditional GC expired

I agree with this, but shouldnt the immigration system be smart enough to actually look at an application and see if its fraudulent/deserving etc ? How can people exploit a solid system ? Even if the employer files a PERM, shouldnt USCIS evaluate whether the person should be granted a visa ? which I'm sure they already scrutinize

I did get good advice here, and I've thanked people who've actually given good advice than passing judgement or telling me to rethink life.

No one is passing judgement (but you might be as a few newbies tend to when they don't like what they want to hear).

You joined the forum 8 hours ago, many members posting here have been members for years and years. I suggest re-going through some of the good advice you say you've received.

newbie, right. Who said i didnt like what i heard. All i came here was, was information to legally work and pay taxes. and some replied with actual useful information. And long time posters who really have no knowledge and have just increased their post count by giving life advice should probably re-think whether they should be on this forum or not where people come for knowledge and not judgement.

Moral? It's just business. Employers are free to approach this in a business way, by getting their workers to sign contracts for a few years. They just don't want to commit to it. That's when employment at will applies and people can leave or get fired at any time. Employment contracts will prevent that. It's the employer's fault they haven't done it.
