My point was that he doesn't by-pass Congress when it comes to doing their jobs, (i.e. immigration, Obamacare, etc.).  As much as people label him a fascists dictator, he does seem to understand the separation of the branches.  Therefore, in this case (the DPRK), I expect him and his team to finalize something and present it to Congress, and if they don't approve it, go back and change it until he gets that approval rather than generating some Executive Agreement that isn't worth the paper it is written on once that executive leaves office.

So if that's the case then it is extremely premature to pretend that suddenly the problem is solved.

Sure it is, we already had that discussion.  It is political rhetoric which is practiced by all in Washington.

It is dangerous, irresponsible and unprofessional speak about our national security. Something that our President should take more seriously. 

 

He can tweet how he "looks forward to" further agreements and peace. But we aren't there yet. We've made a big start, but there is more work to be done. The standard for the President should ALREADY be high for his public messages, but it should be even higher when talking about international diplomacy.

Yes and no.

The point is that government funds are there to fill in the gaps that industry will not  touch.

Whatever, all presidents do it, Bush with his mission accomplished, Obama with his ACA, etc.  People were saying Trump was completely wrong when he labeled KJU "Rocket Man" what was the result of that?  Apparently the diplomacy of the Washington insider groups hasn't worked with respect to the DPRK, but we are off to a good start under this idiot president.

I think most people (Republican and Democrats) believe Bush's "Mission Accomplished" banner was inappropriate and in retrospect probably even he thinks he shouldn't have done it. Maybe I'm wrong with that.

We already discussed this, but regardless, the Obama rhetoric regarding the ACA was mostly wrong, keep your doctor, no tax increases, etc.  I realize that to a Trump hater, he will never look presidential, and honestly, I don't care as long as he gets things accomplished.

Grants by definition, are a form of socialism.

 

Grants = Transfer payments.
