What is the protocol for correcting errors?

I was filling out a Form I-864 and realized I had written a "1" in a box I shouldn't have due to some conflicting language in the "household size" instructions. My question is, can I cross the one out, use whiteout, or should I just make a new copy? What's the usual procedure for correcting mistakes on forms? Thanks so much.

Did you write a 1 or did you type it before printing? If typed first, the 2D barcode still has the mistake and that's likely what they would see when they scan it.

If written, it shouldn't matter how you do it so long as it's readable for the person typing it into the system and then the CO.

 

But yes...just print a new sheet and make your life easier.

10/24/18: Green card produced notice, 10/25/18: Formal approval, 10/31/18: Green card received

7/13/2017: Interview: APPROVED!!!

7/19/2017: Visa in hand

8/15/2017: POE
