Congratulations! Here's hoping for a quick turnaround and trip to the US. Praise God indeed for a smooth process! 🙌

After rescheduling we're still on target for a May 28 interview. I just got back from a 2.5 week trip to Japan to help the wife prepare for the interview and assemble the documents she'll need to bring. It's hard to believe a month from now this part of our visa journey could be over!

My husband and I submitted the W-2 on April 12th and haven't heard anything else from NVC yet. I just hope to hear from them soon and that we get our interview appointment soon, in the meantime I'm on vacation with him. It is way easier to wait while we are together.

Congratulation! So it nearly took you one year through Texas Service Center?

Thank you!

Yes, it took just about a year from start to finish. It probably would have been 10.5 - 11 months if not for an insignificant RFE while at USCIS (+4 week delay) and a 2 week interview postponement to make sure we received the medical exam results before the interview. We spent about 8 months waiting for USCIS at TSC. We were able to move through the NVC stage relatively quickly because we prepared all of the documentation and evidence in advance while waiting for our NOA2. It was less than a week from account creation to sending in the final IV package. There's no helping the processing time at and between USCIS and NVC, but proactively and promptly completing our tasks certainly kept the total time to a minimum.

Hi everyone! All our documents have been finally approved and the NVC will be contacting the US embassy in my country to schedule the appointment. I wonder how long did you guys have to wait until you got your appointment? And does the embassy schedule it or could you chose the date?

that's awesome. Congratulations. My wife and I just uploaded our documents on the NVC portal. Hopefully we get approvals soon.

Question: how long did it take for NVC to approve the documents after you uploaded it?

It took 3 months and a week. That's including the whole process of the NVC requesting additional documentation and submitting it.
