Did they send it to the embassy where beneficiary’s last address is?

Yea, they assigned my fiance the wrong embassy... since june 1st. Since it's still at NVC we are trying to have them change it. Otherwise we have to do it through the embassy..it could take a week or 7 weeks...

Is your case already transferred to the embassy?

really???? it takes a week to 7 weeks?!

Ok now this is a real mess up. I asked because it happens when someone lives in another place and put different country, so we are used to that mishap. But this is a whole new level....

I really hope they will solve this fast as it is fully their fault and also extremely ridiculous!

USCIS have a procedure for complaints, details here:

Because it was NVC that made the mistake I think it would be better to take it up with them rather than the embassy. You need all the mistakes rectified, not only the fact that they sent it to the wrong embassy.

Sorry you're experiencing this, it must be so stressful.

When i called NVC, the representative the representative was telling me either send an inquiry to NVC and they will contact the embassy to do a transfer, or I will have to wait until the embassy received the case and request for transfer. The very next day, I checked the case status and it showed "ready". Immediately sent an email to the embassy in Hong Kong to request a case transfer. I just hope the case won't go to limbo.
