Should I wait for GC or should I apply for AP?

Hi there,

I want to know how long will take to get an Advanced Parole.

I am waiting for my green card to be sent to my home.

The other day I had an interview with an immigration officer and the officer told me to

wait for the card.

The card will be maild.

We will have our 2nd wedding anniversary next month, and the officer told me to wait by then because

after the 2 year, they can process unconditional green card, and the officer thought that would be better for me.

I am planning to go overseas in later June.

My question is I can get the green card by then?

Or, should I get an Advanced Parole?

If I have to apply for AP, I have to make sure how long will take, so that I can know when I should file it in order to receive AP

by my trip.

The local office is NYC.

Please give me some ideas.

I may have missed it, but how long ago did you apply for your AOS?

If you can afford it, I'd suggest appyling for your AP, which seems to take somewhere between 30-90 days to receive. Atleast with that application in the works, you've got double the chance of being able to go on your trip.

If the OP has been approved he cant file for AP..... once e receives the welcome letter it should only be a few days later he gets the greencard.... if for some reason it has not arrived he can always make an infopass appointment and get I-551 stamp so he can travel.....
