My husband came in as a B or visior visa in 2002. In 2003 He became H1-B until present. He never left the US since.

My questions about Part 3 A of the I-485 is..

Nonimmigrant Visa Number

Consulate Where visa was Issues

Date Visa was Issued

Do I write down the B visa he first used when he entered or do I just write the receipt number of his current H-1B?

Thank you

My Timeline:

05/13/07 Mailed I-130, I-485, EAD to Chicago Lockbox via Fedex

05/16/07 Arrived at Chicago USCIS

05/18/07 NOA Date

05/21/07 NOA Received for I-130, I-485, EAD

05/21/07 Check Cashed by USCIS

I assume he never actually had an issued H-1B visa stamp? In which case I would give the B-2 visa info.

Yes, he never had an H-1B Visa stamp.

So the receipt # (like WAC-XX-XXX-XXXXX) on his H1-B petition won't be considered as a nonimmigrant visa number?

Thank you in advanced.

Yep! Las Vegas, NV is the answer.

Thank you, this is the greatest forum ever.

Do you need to send certified copies of Marriage Certificates? I-130 and I-1485 requires 1 each.

Will a photocopy not be acceptable?
