well we have it so i didnt think it'd hurt evenif it doesnt help. our cat is microchiped so that means any of us can claim ownership if he gets lost then found.

I'm sure it won't hurt. I'm just wondering, people here love to claim how children are not proof of a real marriage (I disagree), then 8t follows that pets are even less so. After all, if someone has children for immigration reasons (heartless people like that are not that common) and they divorce their petitioner they will still be required to pay child support if they don't have custody. I've never heard of pet support (and hopefully never will).

I'm just thinking out loud, sorry if it's off topic!

Everybody is talking about pictures but no one has mentioned the cat ownership. Has anyone else ever sent pet documents as proof? I'll be shocked if USCIS cares. I'm commenting out of pure curiosity.

We are going to send the same thing when I have to file for ROC. The documents showing we adopted a dog together from a rescue, both our names on the contract accompanied with photos of us and the dog taken by the rescue workers (and also a screenshot of the "adopted" post on the rescue's facebook page that they posted the day after we brought the dog home). Also veterinary documents such as bills, medicine etc showing both our names. And yes, those are also considered proof, the same way both the spouses names on an internet bill is.
