Who Do I Count in My Household Size? (Affadavit of Support I-864)

Just had a quick question. My husband is combining his income with his parents, if my husband is counting for his household size would he have to put his younger sibling as part of the household size as well? They aren't dependent on my husbands income but are dependent on his parents income which in the form are combined with my husbands.

you count: petitioner, his dependents, the beneficiary and any children coming with the beneficiary

his parents will put their minor children on their affidavits not your husbands

 

your husband file the i864 as the petitioner, his parents each file an i864A as his co sponsors, on their i864A they put their spouses, and dependents

 

if you don't have any children and it's just the 2 of your, on your husband's i864 will be a household of 2.

Sorry, but still most likely no.  Unless three incomes need to be combined to qualify, then petitioner files I-864, then one parent does the same as "joint sponsor" and the other parent completes the I-864a whether they have income or not.

 

If the parents' income is sufficient for them and their actual dependents plus the intending immigrant, then there is no need to combine three incomes.
