Congratulations,  I filed a week after you and got my notification that my interview has been scheduled in Nashville today so I'm going to guess I've probably got about 6 or 7 weeks to prepare.

I have to correct the interview date and it is schedule for April 16th and not April 26th.You should see the letter uploaded in the system by tonight.

That makes sense, they've since notified me that my interview is on the 18th so you got your notification 2 days before me and your interview is 2 days before mine too so they seem to be completing them at a consistent rate.

My online N400 application priority date is 07/25/2018, Biometrics done on 08/15/2018
Just saw today that the interview was scheduled yesterday, do not know yet when it is scheduled.
I live in San Jose, CA , so I guess it is in San Jose Field office.

My journey is over. Today it was my oath ceremony and i got my passport the same day since I have international travel the same day as oath. My only advice to everyone: apply for N-400 as soon as you’re elegible to apply. Thanks everyone and good luck!

Timeline:

July 29, 2017 Filed I-751 (CSC)

After that I never got biometrics letter and only one notification of your file has been transferred some time February 2018

Then I received letter of biometrics are not needed sometime in February 2018

July 21, 2018 applied for N-400

My N400 estimated time said several months (>12) but then:

My n400 interview was scheduled (estimated time changed to 4 months after status change) sometime in December but it got de-scheduled because they closed all government offices that day. Then it got re-scheduled

January 22, 2019 passed N-400 and I-751 joint interview. Although they didn’t have my I-751 file they did both interviews at the same time (they said I-751 file may be in the same local office but who knows)

January 23, 2019 my I-751 god updated that is was transferred to Lee office and also updated the same day that it was approved. N-400 got also approved (recommended for naturalization ceremony)

February 19, 2019 my oath ceremony letter arrived. Case online was updated like 3-4 business days ago and online letter appeared 2 business days ago

March 20, 2019 oath ceremony. I have international travel the same day at night. I made an appointment ahead of time at passport agency. They give me passport in 2 hours. It was amazing

Hey Everyone! I have an I-751 pending since July 2017 and the N-400 since July 2018. I called USCIS today to get an update on the I-751 since that has gone over the normal processing time. I also brought up my N-400 processing with the rep and was told that she can see in the system that I am in line for an interview but she doesn't see a date yet. Does that mean I should hear about an interview date soon? When I check my online USCIS account, the N-400 still has a 15 month period left for completion and the status is unchanged. I filed it in Houston.

Thanks!

My guess is that it will be 2nd or 3rd Wednesday of April. They do one every month in the city hall (downtown SD). It is usually the 2nd or 3rd Wednesday of April (most likely the third one). It is a little late to be in March.

Best of luck!

Wait, they only have 1 oath ceremony a month in San Diego? How do you know this? If that's true then that's insane!

Yes. The USCIS office who interview me told me. There is also another SD filer in this forum who had ceremony in 3rd Wednesday of February. I believe the time for all is the same 8 am.

The ceremonies are big mine was a little over 1,500 immigrants plus lots of families

Then I guess I have a while to wait for my oath letter. Got approved on the 5th. Thank you for the info :)

Did anyone here got their interview but got a RFE letter afterwards? I wonder how long it would take in real life for a decision. I posted here my story too.

So my story was that I marry an US citizen back in 08/2014 but we did not file for green car until 2015, and I receive my 10 year permanent green card in May 2018 and I start to apply for my citizenship application in August 2018. My interview was scheduled for March 19  and I attended the interview by myself my spouse did not come with me.  The thing is that our accountant just finished filing 2018 tax return a day before my interview date and for this year we actually owe tax to the government. During the interview, after the civic test, the officer said that he saw my tax return for 2018 when I was opening my folfer and asked to see it. when he found out that I did not pay for the tax return He said that he will have to send me an RFE notification to ask that I  submit additional document proving that we have paid tax. Right before we submit the application in August we move to the new address and we have been living in the old address (in laws house) for 4 years and because of that when I create this application we did not have any document pointing to this new address.  The officer then asked to see the lease or insurance bill document about the new place but unfortunately I did not prepare enough and I didn’t bring it so again he said to send additional document with the tax 2018 to show that I have been living with my spouse for the past three year he said to mail all the evidence to the office (Philadelphia). At night I checked my online account I saw the rfe form under documents tab, and found out you can actually submit all these documents online. We don’t have a lot of document related to the new house since we only move here for like 8 months we have the lease, bank document, our credit card saying that he is on he’s an authorized  user, some utility bill and tax return. The RFE said to submit W2 for 16, 17, 18 and I’m worried because for this tax year  my W-2 was sent to the new address while his is still at the old house. Even though since 2014, all our w2 were coming to the old house.  I already created a cover letter listing all the docs we will be submitting, and i think i will include some from 2014-15 too just to show that we live together for a long time and since we don’t have many docs for new address.  I lost the folder that had many documents for the removal of conditions so now the joint bank acc we had is already closed. He is very bad with financials so his credit score is bad and he has to be under my account. Do you think these document that I listed are sufficient  for the RFP and also if you have received an RFP for your application do you know how long it would take for them to reopen the case and give me adecision? Thank you all for sharing I really appreciate it, sorry for the lengthy post!

Hey CRB,

The interview process was pretty lax, you will be okay if you've studied the n400 questions. the officers were super professional.

I'm not sure about the ceremonies, my interview was in Jan, I had a change of name done during N400 application and was given a End of April OATH ceremony. 4 months wait after passing interview.

Not sure how they work, just hoping the Ceremony day comes already as I want to travel.

Goodluck! you have nothing to worry about, just study the questions.
