Hi all, checking in as part of the July 2018 club.  NYC field office.  PR since 2007.  Filed online yesterday and the estimated processing time is showing 9 months to completion, which is a shorter period than I had expected to see (though I recognize that estimate is not the most important thing in the world).  Will update the tracker with my details later!

July 3 filer. Have my biometrics coming up soon. Still waiting for I-751 to be approved. I am planning to take my expired green card with extension letter which expires end of September. i have scheduled an infopass appointment early August. Do we have to take that aswell?

Welcome to the July club! Also, I've seen many posts of individuals going through New York who had a fairly quick and easy process in comparison to the rest. You are very lucky!! I bet your timeline will shrink down immensely from that 9 months! Good luck!

Thanks for the welcome!  Yes I confess I was pretty surprised that the NYC estimate was lower than seemingly many other places... not getting excited yet but it's a positive start.  Good luck to you and the rest of the July 18 club too!

Hello everyone, 

 

Just submitted my N400 online yesterday. It was easy and slick process. I still have pending I-751. I went yesterday to USCIS field office in MInneapolis, Saint Paul and I got my passport stamped. 

 

The estimated time to complete the application is 22 months. But I don’t believe these estimates since I can see people even applied and had interviews in the same year. Let’s hope for the best. 

 

For those who are in Minnesota, please keep updating your profile and your visa timeline. I will update mine too today.

Ok, so I'm panicking right now! I did my biometrics yesterday and right after that my status changed to " Case is actively being reviewed by USCIS" and this morning I got an update from my case tracker app which shows this "At this time USCIS cannot provide you with information for your case" What does this mean? :cry:

dont worry,theres some system update or maintenance going on.you should be able to see it working by tonight or tomorrow

I was successfully able to do a Walk-In Biometrics today at the Houston ASC! I was nervous but the person at front desk checked my air reservation and let me in! I was done in about 5 mins overall. Hoping that my processing time will go down a bit now from 25 months.

Hello everyone, 

 

I like the new online USCIS system. I got the notice today after one day of filing for N-400 (NOA). The online portal allow you to see the notice that they will send you in the mail. It indicates that they have received the applicaion and they will send the biometric appointment in another notice. 

 

I am impressed with the new online system. I will keep updating visa timeline.
