Wow.. what happens if you don't get your renewal combo card when the current one expires? Is there an extension letter like the GC?

There is an automatic 180-day extension for the EAD as long as 1) USCiS received the renewal application before the card expires, and 2) the employer follows the procedure on USCIS web site. The AP just expires, but some say they have traveled out of the country and back with an expired combo card and a pending renewal without problems. I would hate to be in a position where I felt I had to take that risk, though.

If you do it by phone, you can negotiate or discuss  with the representative what should go in the ticket. As I recall, once you submit the ticket, you can’t do another one for 30 days.

I will be denied a phone SR tomorrow since my online SR is dated 8/23/18?

Really, EAD/AP is what I'm waiting for. I was ready for 25 months for GC.. it was supposed to be only 90-120 days, I'm on day 124..
