Congrats @izavox thanks for  sharing the experience.

Thank you guys! I think I'll only rest when I get the card in my hand hahaha... we got a letter stating we were approved but our status hasn't changed yet to 'Card Being Produced', which made me a bit worried since I've seen people here get their status changed to 'Card Being Produced' within hours of having the interview approved hahaha, but I heard from another filer here, who also had the interview yesterday and was approved, that we should expect a delay on the status update, so I'm hoping that's the case haha

Good luck guys and keep us posted!

Hi @makixxiii and welcome to our group! SFV looks like they are scheduling interviews at around 11-14 months at the moment so if you filed in December I would give it until November or December before contacting your congressman 😊 you can google your area (eg. San Fernando Valley) + congressman and they will have contact info on their website 😊 good luck! This office is slowww but finally moving ! We will keep you updated so you have an idea of where it’s at 😊😊

@KathCali Thanks for the heads up! is it always necessary to contact a congressman in order for the processing to be expedited a little bit?

I totally agree that this office is really slow and the processing times they are giving on the web is misleading due to it says on the top blue box 13.5-34 months

and then below

the family based date says

they are still in june 2016 processing

that cause us all this anxiety. 😨

Hi guys!

Also SFV filer (however 2018- but couldn't find any 2018 filers yet) following you guys for a while, just to get some idea of how things going on.

@makixxiii

Seeing your post, I wanted to quote this, cause just like other petitions went (in my case K1 - I-129f) they don't really go in an order, however there is an explanation... ok barely a vague explanation but still :)

Maybe to ease your anxiety a bit.Good luck! From what it seems in VJ it is around 11 to 13 months for most SFV filers.. so I hope you'll hear soon!

What do the processing times mean?

Example Time Range

We now show case processing times as a range. The first number is the time it takes to complete 50% of cases (the median). The second number is the time it takes to complete 93% of cases.

For non-pilot forms, we will continue to use our old method to calculate processing times, but will add an upper limit that is generally 130% of the processing time.

We calculate processing times by using historical data of completed cases. We cannot project how long it will take to complete a case filed today.

I don't think it's always necessary. They've scheduled a couple of interviews from this group this month without the applicants using a congressman. I just called mine because people filing after me were scheduled before me and I was fed up - so I would maybe only call them after you see that happening. I didn't want to "expedite" my case or skip the line but I also didn't want to be pushed back behind cases filed after me, which was happening and it was very frustrating. I know they don't technically have to process them in chronological order but with how long we're all waiting it'd be really nice if they did :)

The processing times online are so crazy I think to get people off their case and stop them from complaining when they take really long because it's become the norm now. Most cases seem to be completed near the lower end of those times in many offices so don't be too stressed about that!

Keep an eye on people who filed just before you and track your case that way - that's what I did :) Everyone here has been really helpful!

Hi guys, getting all the documents ready, they say that we have to bring the Federal Income Tax return of the most recent tax year, when we filed though we sent in the tax form 2016, will we have to bring the new one from 2017?
