@KathCali Thanks yea we got it in the mail today and am scheduled for Oct 15th.. Goodluck guys.. Do you think its necessary to take medical test again we already submitted one.The notice says to bring it unless already submitted..

Yes you will need a new medical exam. We got a letter from USCIS saying to get a new one if we submitted our AOS more than 1 year ago. I recommend Dr Asher Ram in Van Nuys (info further up in this thread) :)

Hi guys!! The interview happened today and we were approved!

We got at the office at 8:20 a.m. (interview was scheduled for 8:45 a.m.), but we were called up only at around 9:45 a.m.

It was very odd the first contact with the person who interviewed us. He called our number, my husband and I walked towards him and he said "We are finishing reviewing your paperwork. Do you have any updated documents you'd like to give me now so I can take a look?" I was a bit taken by surprise because I thought we were going to go to a room with him to begin the interview, but we went along and gave him some bills with both our names on that we didn't send when we filed back in July last year, and I also gave him my work paperwork (I wasn't employed when I filed as well). My husband asked if he'd like our photo album and he said "Oh yeah, that'd be great". So he took all those docs and photos and said he'd be with us in a little bit.

We went back to waiting, and then he called us about 10 minutes later. We sworn and then we were ready to begin the interview.

He was very nice, the 'jokester' kind of person, if I say so. He asked for our passports and ID's and asked us how we met. We told him and he made some comments and all that, he then asked me all those questions from the I-485, got my fingerprints and photo and then he thanked us and said for us to wait in the waiting room and he'd be with us in about 15 minutes with the result.

Almost exactly 15 minutes later he called us again and said we were approved! We were so happy and he said we should expect the card within 30 days.

That was it. I came bearing tons of documents and copies and he barely asked for those hahaha...only asked us one thing and it was more of a conversation than an interview.

Now I just can't wait to receive the card! I've seen some people getting their status updated to 'Card Being Produced' on the day it is approved, but so far nothing for me hahaha...but hopefully the card will arrive soon and I can rest for 2 years haha

Let me know if you guys have any questions and I want to thank you all for the support!

Good news! On September 10, our interview was scheduled for October 16!

It's 100% because we contacted our congressman last week as we were very concerned about the public charge policy changing (we have Obamacare) and also beyond fed up waiting while others filing after us were scheduled before us. One hour after the congressman contacted USCIS for us, our interview was scheduled and a scan of our letter was emailed to us. I couldn't believe it. So @NilovesJa I definitely recommend contacting your congressman too! I'm not sure if yours would be different in Santa Barbara but for San Fernando Valley, it's Brad Sherman. Also call, don't email - much more efficient. I was honestly shocked, thinking we'd get a "you're still in line" generic response. So that was amazing. Good luck!!!

AAHHHHH CONGRATS!!! September had been crazy with work and the interview and I hadn't seen this! You're gonna do great! So happy for you!
