Yesterday I got an email notification letter 221(g).   They are asking for documents

_X_    Others: Valid passports (Maureen and Alexandra)

Does this mean they want my fiancee to send in her and her daughters passports?   or copies of them?

If you got a 221(g) are you sure it was fully denied and not just put aside until you can provide those things? I think you can overcome those things as long as you can provide what they want.

She should have taken her daughters international passports with her to the interview, because they would take them to put the visa in (unless this information is all in the mother's passport). I don't know for the Philippines but I am sure someone who does know will comment.  I assume the daughters are young, as I think older children have to also attend the interview, but not sure of the age cutoff.

Yes it was fully denied based on lack of evidence on relationship.   She had all the stuff with her in the interview, but it never got that far.   She was denied.  I wrote an email to the embassy after my fiancee's interview pleading my case.    Anyway,  I just got this email asking for both passports i presume.    I'm hoping that when they reviewed the case, they decided to approve the visa.   That may be why they are requesting the passports.

Did you also send some pictures or other proof of relationship when you emailed them?

I hope that they are asking for the passports to review your case. Hope you get a positive response.

No, I didn't send more pictures.  They only asked for the actual passports.  They already have full copies of the passports, so I'm hoping things are moving forward.

My husband (petitioner) has never visited the Philippines. He never met any of my family. He didn't go to my embassy appointment. In total, we met twice. I presented 8 pictures of us. I'm going to go with how your fiancee answered the CO's questions that raised red flags coupled with the photos of you in the bar and motel. She may not have answered the questions satisfactorily or may have even brought up topics that should not have been brought up in the first place. Since, my fiance has never set foot in the Philippines, I was actually grilled about that (also at POE) but I was able to give satisfactory answers and my visa was approved.

My fiancé and I just met once in Taiwan where I lived and work. That scares me he never visited the Philippines. We had 2 plans we’re both going to the Philippines and take a vacation (Palawan) or use the money for a vacation and start the paperwork. He always told me he don’t wanted to visit ang leave me without knowing where I’m gonna move to USA. And he found out the process of K1 took longer now. So we decided to start paperwork. I don’t know if it’s valid to say to the CO his reason why he don’t want to come to The Philippines. Our case is only 51 days I know it’s a long way to wait.

Hi...Just do what they ask for on the new request. That is all you need to do at the moment. All the other advice you are getting at the moment is not helping you address this even though it is well meaning. I would take this latest request as a good sign.  Sent you a PM)

I don't believe it matters if the petitioner has been to the beneficiary's country. What matters is that both have met in person within the last 2 years. Meeting more than once makes the case stronger as it's more proof of genuine relationship.

Yeah but we saw a lot of couples approved even they just met once.  We’re in a genuine relationship so I shouldn’t worry. We started taking 2016 and met 2017 and started the paperwork 2018 and I kept the receipt of packages and flowers on those yrs.everything will be alright ☺️

Yeah, I thought so too.   I wonder if the email I sent after her interview helped?   I basically just told them our story, then asked if they would let somebody else review the case, and that whatever result they would come up with, we would accept.

Thanks.

That's what makes it so strange.  You can appeal a denial, but I believe there is a rather large fee involved and a whole separate process; something much more than just writing them an email.  Perhaps, if the CO was really as unprofessional as you stated they knew about it and that had something to do with the change in decision.  Either way it worked for you, you're very lucky!

UPDATE:   My fiance and daughter arrived on August 27th.  Things were going good, then i found out be accident, something her daughter said, that she was cheating on me for months.   They have a couples tattoo of a King and Queen of hearts on the wrist.    I haven't told her I know yet, but will do so the next few days.   I don't want the child involved in our discussion.  Anyway, I don't want to marry her anymore and was wondering if I should get the engagement ring back since she broke her promise to me.   I am also thinking I should message the boyfriend and have him pay her way back to the Philippines.   Appreciate all feedback.  Thanks.
