I can finally post here! My fiancé kept it a Suprise for me to have on Christmas Day! But NOA2 came 11th December!! ❤️✌️ (Filed 22nd June) on to the next forum! Good luck to all in this whole crazy process! Xx

At the time you have your case number from NVC you follow your case on ceac.state.gov and use "immigrant" and your case number.

 

To get your case number go to the thread "December NOA2 to NVC" and read #2 on the first post of that thread.

 

Shipments of cases that are assigned case numbers to will leave every other week. Next shipment is slated for tomorrow 12/26. Next time shipments leave will be January 8 and 9. Remember, your mileage may vary.

I am just speculating. But maybe it has something to do with security checks based on the country of the beneficiary. People have such a biased view of Turkey. I have vacationed there three times. Once in Izmir and twice in Anatolia. I loved it....

As part of its benefits adjudication process and as required by law, the United States Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) conducts background checks on petitioners and applicants who seek certain immigration benefits. Additional screening and background checks based on country of birth, citizenship, or residency in the “State Sponsors of Terrorism” (T-7) list: Cuba, Iran, Iraq, Libya, North Korea, Sudan, Syria; or from the “List of 26”: Afghanistan, Bahrain, Djibouti, Egypt, Eritrea, Indonesia, Iran, Iraq, Jordan, Kuwait, Lebanon, Libya, Malaysia, Morocco, Oman, Pakistan, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, Somalia, Sudan, Syria, Tunisia, Turkey, UAE, Yemen. This is a mandatory stop list and allegedly takes 2 to 4 days, thanks in part to the partially rolled out PATRIOT (Pre-Adjudicated Threat Recognition and Intelligence Operations Team) system managed by ICE, but often take 3 to 6 weeks and if there is a hit who knows how long.

USCIS is committed to adjudicating immigration benefits in a timely manner while also ensuring public safety and national security. A small percentage of applications and petitions have unresolved background check issues that temporarily delay adjudication. Although USCIS makes every effort to resolve such cases promptly, USCIS is unable to speculate when the background check will be completed. 

 

If a background check reveals an issue that may impact an applicant’s eligibility for the requested immigration benefit, further inquiry is needed. The process is not taken lightly by USCIS. They are responsible to not let in anyone that would want to harm these United States or the citizens thereof into the country. Put yourself in the shoes of a USCIS agent who adjudicated the case for the couple who were involved in the December 2, 2015 shooting where 14 people were killed and 22 others were seriously injured in a terrorist attack. Call standard USCIS number, select an option to check your case status, enter your case number starting with 922 for WAC, after you listen to that info, select "I have a problem with my case" that should give you live person after long wait.
