I posted that this morning. And found out from my lawyer today that we have been approved. My lawyer had to call USCIS to find out! Nothing on the apps or MyUscis. Good luck to all. Onto the next step (you have no idea how much I’ve been wanting to say that). Thank you everyone for the support. Great to know others are out there.

So my fiance called the California Svc Ctr last friday to follow up our application NOA1 6/28, and the guy told him that he has passport problem, because he’s chinese and they need proof of birth certificate with native name, and passport he used while he was living in India, because he’s chinese born in India, he got us citizenship thru naturalization last 2 yrs ago and lastly the letter of intent to marry, he didnt include in his application our letter of intent to marry. So they told us to expect RFE next following days. It such a relief knowing that they already touched our application. 😊

Hm,  if he is NOT born in US, and doesn't have citizenship via birth, I don't think there is a need to send birth certificate at all, unless they specifically request it. You can use certificate of naturalization for proof of being US Citizen.

Hi everyone! I need your help please. My fiance is prepairing the affidavit of support. His question is: Does he need to add bank summary with opening date, deposits, withdrawals of each month and current balance or he needs to ask for the statements of each month where each deposit and purchase is detailed? Which one do we need?

Thanks in advance ❤

Yeah he asked him if his birth certificate is with him. His naturalization certificate is alreay included in documents he sent in Texas from the very beginning of application, we have no idea why they are still asking for more. Now, all is set, We are just waiting for the RFE to arrive.

My fiance was born in Ukraine but we did file his birth certificate along with the petition and his certificate of naturalization. I always believed that to be too much but the person who assisted him with all his own immigration filings so advised and I never questioned why. So maybe it really matters. God knows where they may stumble, probably where you least expect it

The easiest is to just print the monthly statements from the banks own website. The most involved and at times the one that the bank will discourage or refuse is the bank statements/letter from the bank. I used the monthly statements printed from my banks website and had no problems. The worst that can happen is that you get a 221(g) requiring you to get those statements. Here are other items that are required.

EVIDENCE OF SUPPORT. You should be able to demonstrate that you will not become a public charge or be a burden on the U.S. taxpayers for financial support. A completed I-134 Affidavit of Support Form K1/K2 Interview Preparation Instructions – English (February 2014)  Page 3 of 9 with an original signature will be useful to the consular officer to evaluate your petitioner’s ability to be financially responsible for you. You should also submit your petitioner’s most recent U.S. Federal income tax return (Form 1040) and wage statements (Form W-2). Employment letters stating salaries and bank statements may be included to substantiate the I-134. Get the IRS transcript in place of the actual 1040 here: https://www.irs.gov/Individuals/Get-Transcript

Lapse in Federal Funding Does Not Impact Most USCIS Operations

The current lapse in annual appropriated funding for the U.S. government does not affect USCIS’s fee-funded activities. Our offices will remain open, and all individuals should attend interviews and appointments as scheduled. USCIS will continue to accept petitions and applications for benefit requests, except as noted below.

Some USCIS programs, however, will either expire or suspend operations, or be otherwise affected, until they receive appropriated funds or are reauthorized by Congress. These include:

  • EB-5 Immigrant Investor Regional Center Program (not the EB-5 Program). Regional centers are a public or private economic unit in the U.S. that promotes economic growth. USCIS designates regional centers for participation in the Immigrant Investor Program. The EB-5 Program will continue to operate.
  • E-Verify. This free internet-based system allows businesses to determine the eligibility of their employees to work in the U.S.
  • Conrad 30 Waiver Program for J-1 medical doctors. This program allows J-1 doctors to apply for a waiver of the two-year residence requirement after completing the J-1 exchange visitor program. The expiration only affects the date by which the J-1 doctor must have entered the U.S.; it is not a shutdown of the Conrad 30 program entirely.
  • Non-minister religious workers. This special immigrant category allows non-ministers in religious vocations and occupations to immigrate or adjust to permanent resident status in the U.S. to perform religious work in a full-time, compensated position.

Nothing is going to interrupt the processing of your visa application. Has he checked hi spam email box? NOA2 isn't needed for anything but you do want to get your NVC letter which means you need to call ask for one. You can ask for it to be faxed but I think only tier 2 people can do that.

If you continue to have problems then set your appointment and print off an appointment confirmation which will contain you CH. If you are firm with them and you explain your dilemma they will usually accept the printed appointment confirmation. Of course, your mileage may vary.
