Therein lies the problem. Your depending on the visa timeline where many others hear have commented on the inadequacy that it can be and should only one of many tools you use to track your visa progress.

Do you know that I am going freaking insane because people stay in their little comfort zone and do not go into other threads and read what others are experiencing. It's amazing the number of tools on VJ that if one would spend more time exploring they would be so calm and not freaking insane with everything and everyone that is dealing with their process. Just freaking amazing.  Time for a palm slap. :(

No need to be rude, dude. I never said that’s the only tool I’ve used (and it, indeed, is not). It’s one of many; why did I choose to mention that one? Because in this very thread I’ve seen other people mentioning it or being asked about it when they did not mention it.

So now, go mind your manners and spend less time judging maybe? Thanks.

I rendered information that is correct. No mention that you used other means to look up to see if you are on track and the tool you are depending on I pointed out how inaccurate it was. Do not be sensitive. Ok dude.

I know everyone is very tense and nervous about USCIS approval but from what I have seen rarely is anyone flat out denied at this stage. Unless there is something like a visa ban or false information provided to USCIS they will either approve or issue an RFE. This is just a hurry up and wait game right now. Like Greenbaum said, there are many factors that lead to "delayed" approval. The petitioner and beneficiary both go through background checks and sometimes it takes longer for some than others. They are not grabbing cases ahead of you while yours collects dust on the shelf. Background checks can take a while and I'm pretty sure they begin these a month or 2 before your anticipated adjudicated date on your timeline. All that timeline is, is a guesstimate based on other people who have filled out their timelines. Many people on VJ also neglect to update their timelines which can skew the numbers. There are people from May and before that are still waiting on approvals. There are 2 websites now for USCIS and more often than not the "old" site is not updated. This is where casetracker apps pull their information from. When I pull up the old site it says my case was received on May 31 nothing about an approval. I was approved on December 4th and received my NOA2 on December 11th. If you have not registered on the new USCIS website I encourage you to do so. I received an email that my case was updated and on the new site it shows December 6th approval (even though NOA2 says Dec 4th).

Just be patient and it will come. We all want to be with our loved ones as soon as possible.

What if I am a Feb filler and it's been 313 days since we filed? They issued rfe and received our response 90 days ago and still nothing.  It's not a matter of background check because they sent out RFE means they are done with background check.  At this time I hope to hear anything even denial better than wasting our life waiting for nothing . By the way,  none of us were married, have a child or any criminal record so .

Well I was referring to people here waiting to have their case "touched" as this is a forum for June 2018 K1 filers. I also said there are MANY reasons why it can be "delayed" not just a background check but usually background checks are the main reason. You should probably contact USCIS and inquire about your case and talk to a tier 2 agent.

I have an attorney, first she said we have to wait 30 days to inquire, after a month USCIS told her to wait 60 days to inquire, after the 60 days I submitted online inquiry and received an email saying my case is being adjudicated and I will hear something within 45 days. Today is 32 days since I submitted online inquiry. I talked to tier 2, first he was questioning me why I wanted to expedite my case (that was back on June) and then he said I will hear something end of December,  I don't believe him because I am already out of processing times so there is no need to wait for the end of December but I can't do anything.

Thanks for your words, I know you are trying to support us but sometimes reality is hard and we have to deal with it as it is.

Yeah that really sucks. I can't imagine what you are going through just waiting on that. That's totally different than waiting for an RFE or NOA2. I really hope that it gets resolved soon for you.

Hi!

Does anyone know how the USCIS centers process cases?  I have noticed at Potomac, the center processing my case, people who had a later date than I have, have been given their NOA2.  I know it's not exactly in the order of the date submitted, but I was July and people are being approved from August.  Maybe some employees are just slower than others and it depends who has your case, not sure. Anyone have any insight as I keep waiting?

Thanks!

Just a note this is a K1 forum not CR1 but as for the approvals you need to make sure that you are comparing CR1 applicants. Many things dictate when your case is approved not just the received date. They do many checks on your case but one of the biggest is the background checks on you and your spouse.

Many of our answers are predicated on the information you supply in your profile. When we look at the left column and can't determine your timeline or your Embassy it's hard for us to give you a factual answer. If you look at the profile of others here, they have a flag for their country, so it makes it easy for us to reply as we can quickly determine your Embassy. Our answers will sometimes be tailored to a specific Embassy hence the reason for you to complete your profile.

So, if you could help yourself out and complete your profile that sure would help us out when we want to reply to your question with factual information.

Go to the top right of this page select your name (it's on the upper right-hand corner)>my profile>[below your picture on the right column] edit my profile. Scroll to the bottom and fill in "Immigration Info". There now we can better serve you.

Thanks
