Thanks...It's a good thing we are not in a big hurry. But, the boss is upset because I told her I was waiting for a request from my government.  That means something completely different to her)))...30 days added on for nothing....I'll send a letter answering on Monday...

Maybe should include a request for expedite due to uscis error

YMMV

But I shouldn't have to request a waiver. It is more than one in two years or more than two in a lifetime. Then a waiver is required.

Oh goodness! That's ridiculous!!

Sometimes you just scratch your head and say what the fudge. I would respond and include the instructions that you are familiar with. Time to get out the BIG yellow highlighter. :D

Does anybody knows how long it takes to get the NVC letter? Does it have the new case number?

Check this thread (highly recommend following it) which user Greenbaum has set up ... many many questions answered there. (But to cut to the chase, "It's been taking about 2-3 weeks for NVC to assign the case number" - quoted from #3 in the first post of the thread I linked).

Pretty sure it means you need to contact them because they got returned mail when they tried to send you something. I don't know what it was they were trying to send you but it could be your NOA1. You have about a month to request whatever it is on that link they sent you or they will destroy your I-129F and you will have to do it all over again and  pay the fee again. The receipt date on the old site isn't the NOA1 date, that date is listed on the paper copy of the NOA1. If it was indeed your NOA1 that was returned to them I imagine they placed your case on hold until they hear from you at which point they will begin working the case again.

There are many who received notices like yours. Yes, once you get your I-129f and complete what they are asking for you will then be at the end of the line in processing. Just a minor set back. The longer you wait to reply and return will determine how long you will wait to have your interview. Follow their instructions closely so you are not delayed again.

I got something similar, but a little different from the new site (no threat included about discarding petition).  In my case (NOA1 June 27), I didn't initially get my NOA1 hardcopy letter.   In late July, I saw this Undeliverable status, and I assumed this was referring to my NOA1.   I found the USCIS document request site confusing (felt like the site was asking me to tell it what document I was missing versus the other way around), so I called USCIS.  Rep said my case was 'Received' state, and could not tell me what this Undeliverable message was in reference to.  I told him I hadn't received my NOA1, and he told me to wait till Aug 1 and then call back if I hadn't received it- which I didn't.  I eventually called back, and new hardcopy NOA1 was sent on 8/15- which I did receive this time.

This whole process has me a little paranoid.  On the old site, I'm showing Case is Received.  On new site, status says Document was Returned as Undeliverable.  When I call,  the automated recording says Case is Received.  When I spoke to an actual rep last week, the last update they show is that a document was mailed to me on 8/15  (oddly he couldn't tell me which document had been mailed to me- I guess their system isn't that informative), and case was still in Received state.     Definitely give them a call and see what you can decipher, and let us know what happens.
