Thank you!  Im concerned on how long to get the letter since the medical center here in the Philippines needs a printed letter coming from NVC aside from the case number only.

You can check and follow this thread created by the wizard for us who have received our NOA2 and waiting for NVC

that is why i am wondering how to get a copy, or will they send you a copy thru email.

SLEC wants the Interview letter from the National Visa Center (NVC) or Visa Interview Appointment Confirmation from the Embassy (just print off a screen shot of the confirmation page once your appointment has been secured) either or.

This information comes right out of the information and links that I have posted to you and other Filipinos within this thread. This would be a good time to become familiar with the sub-forum for the Philippines. There you will find experts that can help you. Asking in a "general" thread where most are trying to wrap their arms around their own process doesn't necessary mean what is good for their embassy is going to be good for USEM. My advice will help you avoid delays.

In the event you have misplaced the information that I shared I will add it again. Link to the sub-forum is the last entry below.

Also, there is a sub-forum for the Philippines here on VJ that you should be a part of. It's a good place to read what others are experiencing which will only prepare you for your interview.

I believe they will mail you a letter with a case number after few weeks. Instead of waiting for the mail to arrive, call NVC and get the case number after 1 or 2 weeks over the phone, it will make your process faster.

Just want to clarify something. Yes they will send a letter with the case number but to the petitioner only. And your point about calling NVC is spot on. I have given @Caye some links for her process where the entire process for her country is explained in great detail. Thanks for your help.

we filed expedite too and never got an answer. they keep telling us they never received our documents they requested (even though we sent them 3 times via fax and one time with email).

so we keep waiting  now (noa1 june 6).

I don't know of what help this will do and you may have already tried using it but I will post it just the same. Forgive me if I am repeating myself. I'm old and can't remember. :jest:

USCIS has established a toll-free military help line exclusively for members of the military and their families. USCIS customer service specialists are available to answer calls Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. until 4:30 p.m. (CST), excluding federal holidays. After-hours callers receive an email address that they can use to contact USCIS for assistance.

How long does NVC process the file case number after approval, my approval is November 20. And how do they give the NVC letter, is it thru mail or email? Thanks!

Check out the Philippines subforum. There are a couple of really knowledgeable people there that help guide people through the process for the Philippines...Good Luck!

@Greenbaum do you have an idea of the date when the next approved batch will be sent out to NVC? I thought I saw a post that said something about every two weeks or so.

Finally, someone else who's purging their belongings before they make the move. I jokingly call it operation fit my life in 2 suitcases! As majority of my things are electronics which we've slowly replaced over the past year I won't have much trouble. I've done a few trips and slowly moved clothes as I've gone out there, go out with 20kgs, return with like 6 ... it seems to work.

The police record is the only bit I have left to do now, so hopefully that goes without any issues or delays. I received one like 5 months ago from work for my security clearance and obviously that'll expire like a few weeks before we need it.

Vaccinations will be complete tomorrow!

The distance seems large, I mean I'll be moving to Michigan from Hull (North-east UK), but my family all know it's only an 8 Hour flight and it's all direct so they're not that hard done too. It's sort of close to the other side of the world, but you can make it within 1 day should anyone need to.

I hope you'll hear something before Christmas too. That's our hoping too!

@Loo1 did you get it there and then? And is it just called a police report? Or a type of vetting form? I'm the same threw out so much stuff and still have so much left 🙈

@LukeU I'm going to try send some stuff with my fiance at Christmas but it's so hard to narrow down what I can do without until I move! Thinking of doing a trip over in February to help move stuff too. Using black Friday as an excuse to pick up things too to replace electronics I can't bring over 😁

Lots of June filers beginning to hear good news so here's hoping it's coming in the next few weeks!
