I think the only rule is that you have to enter within six months of receiving the visa.

The variation in entry times is probably due to people’s own schedules, plans and budgets.  As much as I would love to buy my fiancé a ticket for the next flight here, it would probably be pricey on such short notice!

Hello June Filers! I am new here (also a June filer)...I have a quick question for you all. Sorry if this is a dumb question...I am still learning this processing stuff!

Anyway...I have noticed that people's entry to the US AFTER they have received their visa varies drastically....I have seen some in which the person doesn't come until 2 months past receiving visa.

Is there a reason for this?? Is there a time line you have to wait after getting the visa in hand ( I know actually getting the visa take a few days, but I want to know once you actually have it, do you have to wait for something?)

Can you get a visa in hand a come to the US the day after?

God Bless!

Sure you can, day 1 to day 180 are all yours. But all cases are different and there are many reasons why people come early or stay. In my case kid has to finish school whereas fiance has to rent another apartment to accommodate a family of 3 rather than himself. This may well take 2 months or more

I think every country is different so look at your embassy checklist. My says nothing in particular but there are country specific guidelines. In my country getting a police certificate takes 30 days  and it is valid for 90 days, so once the petition is approved, it's high time to go for it.

True. It depends on a country. Fo example mine is valid a year and I can get it baisically within couple of minutes. The clerk at court just stamps a paper with a stamp "no record" :)

I recommend as close to interview as possible
I know many embassies say 6 months, a year, etc
But if you have a country where getting one is easy, wait until you schedule interview then go do it

but If you got a tough country where u gotta jump some hoops and it's a month plus process, get it once case is at NVC.

Timelines fluctuate a lot and can speed up or slow down
Won't know for sure till maybe they process April/early May folks

Yes, probably some June filers will hear good news as early as December. Me and my fiance are technically late June filers but July NOA1 receivers and may be adjudicated by January 17th as per VJ estimation.

Hello dears... What you think about this notice in USCIS WebSite ....????

This time range is how long it is taking USCIS to process your case from the date we received it. We generally process cases in the order we receive them, and we will update this page each month. The estimated time range displayed is based on data captured approximately two months prior to updating the page. Please note that times may change without prior notice.
