Hi!
Maybe a little strange question, but it made me confused this night.
I am the beneficiary.
After i will get NOA2, I am going to leave my work, I want to spend more time with family before I move. So in the time when I will have interview I will not work, but in the application for visa we wrote that i have work, name of the company, etc...
Is my plan ok or I should leave work after interview?

I really don't think it matters to CO. We put it as "unemployed" for me on I-129F because I opted to take my time after a really difficult and committing employment in Kiev. That said, now I don't see an opportunity (and frankly speaking, a reason) to get a job in Odessa while I am busy with child care, property issues and dental treatment (5 times more expensive in the US). Add scheduled face time with my fiance totalling to 6 weeks (3+3), no one will want such an employee. Should I happen to be employed by interview time, I will put it as is. I think it equally works for someone being employed on I-129F and unemployed on DS-160. USCIS is primarily interested in your fiance having a job and being financially stable and you merely telling the truth about yourself.

Ps: that is what Affidavit of Support is all about. It really doesn't matter who we the aliens are.

Whether the beneficiary works or not has NO impact on the visa process.
They don't care if you have a job since you are not taking that job with you to the U.S.
It matters for your petitioner. That's what the Affidavit of support is all about. Your Petitioner says to the US government that they make enough to support the both of u.Because when beneficiary comes to US, they cannot work immediately. Right now, it's taking about 4-6 months to get work permit AFTER you have married and filed the necessary documents.

Ideally- don't do anything drastic until you have a Visa in your hand as we have seen people denied, delayed for months on end with AP, etc with this process

Don't worry about that  it  will not afect your interview, if they ask about your job situation, (I believe they may ask about your  fiancee's job, than yours) just say the Truth.

The US embassy in Argentina says not to quit your job, sell  properties, car, before interview, just in case you are not aproved, you can go  on with your life. You will be Fine.

In my situation, I'm selling out things I will not be able to take with me, but still for the most important ones as furnitures, I will wait after interview.

Good luck! 😊

Wow I didn't realise it was taking 4 to 6 months... Can I ask where you can get this data from?

I'll feel like I'm on summer holidays from college again, thankfully it'll actually be in the summer once everything goes smoothly!

That's the VJ timeline. Look under "Employment Authorization"
It tells you the date it seems that most applications on VJ have been approved for
Keep in mind this is not the holy grail - some people after that date have been approved and many before it have not. It's also not comprehensive as many people on here don't update their timelines.
So yea- it's 4-6 months because I do know some Feb folks that recently got approved

Hello June fillers. I just came to my country (Peru) after spending 10 magical days in Canada with my fiance. Not checking this cause I was with him haha. Seems we won't see each other till January that he could come again here because of the money and time. I was wondering do you have to wait so much to see your fiancée too? Wao I'm so sad I know I've done this so many times (being apart and wait) but Its just sad. This process is still in February updated ...:( What about you guys?

I saw my fiance on 17th of June. And our next meeting will be when i get visa and fly to him! He is on Guam now and it's 32 hours to fly, plus he just had moved there, he has to prepare house and other stuff till i arrive... It's hard to be far from each other so long time, but i know  this is last step before our happy life together and this waiting is worth it!
