It does take 6-7 months, but I've already waited 2 and a half, so only 4-4.5 months to go :)

noa1 date is actually they date on ur hard copy. Sadly if u reach the magical 220 day u must wait till 225 to contact Uscis. They use what the new site says. Even if ur paper says X date.

They added 5 days onto everyone’s accepted on NOA1

Out of the 3500 ish filers for k1 for February about 10% r on vj. Just over 50 approvals on vj. Think it be safe to say there is roughly a total of 500ish approved so far for the month of February.

Some of us will be approved before 7 month. Few will be waiting months longer 😢

Hey guys,

I have a serious question. Is it true that when my finace( petitioner) sends me sponsorship doc, the job should be permanent or something. Is there any rules regarding this? Can he apply that of he is working from a temp.agency and his job hasnt been permanent? And this is scaring hell out of me.

I have never heard of such a thing.- correct me if am wrong @Greenbaum
People move from one job to another all the time.
immigration does not care if you have a different job every day. As long as the income is met.

What you do have to worry about is that your petitioner has the burden of proof to show that they can support you whilst in the states.

If their income from this year and last year does not meet the requirements, then they need to line up a co-sponsor.

What you might be confusing it with is that as proof of sponsorship, people sometimes include an employer letter which states someone's position, whether PERMANENT or temporary and how long they have been employed. It's unlikely  a temp agency will write such letters.

Ideally, he should show income from like the past 3 years-
However, each country's document requirement for interviews is slightly different. I suggest you visit your country's forums and see if you can find out exactly what they need for the interview.

if he was a student/not enough income/etc- that's all okay
Get a co-sponsor. Although keep in mind not every embassy accepts co-sponsors.
So do your research now whilst you wait

But for sure- the TYPE of job one does has no impact on this visa process.
