Yes, I lodged the report of marriage in Singapore a year late, just this January, that is why the marriage was not yet in the system by May. The process takes 5 months after filing with the consulate. We took our chance to get a PSA certified report, and my mom worked wonders. The PSA staff were very helpful.

5 months!!  WoW!  Why so long for the consulate in Singapore?   That is crazy.    But you got it done .. all is good.

Yea, after I lodged the report, they gave me my copy with a slip of instructions how to get from psa. It says 5 months but in the website it says 6.

But yea, if I had lodged it earlier, I would have not had the panic attack of getting it but I was busy & I didnt know I needed to do it within a year of marriage so yea.

 

Long story short, my mom worked the miracles. I couldn't go myself because I am in Singapore.

There is a difference between expedited and advanced copy. We got an 'advanced copy' the next day and this was accepted for the CR1, no RFE's!!

I've only heard of the expedited, and we already filed for that so i'm not sure it's possible anymore.
