My wife and i were just married in Oton Iloilo city on may 30. She has the marriage contact and will go to the local register in oton tomorrow. I've heard about having the nso certificate expedited because we don't want to wait 6 months. How do we go about doing this.

The expedite is requested at the local registry, not sure of the fee or the "fee"  ;)      PSA (hasn't been NSO in years) is supposed to expedite the registration also with this request.

That is good info.  Thanks for sharing!

That is about 3 years old so I would bet the fees have increased ... ;)     (and it is now PSA instead of NSO)

It took me about 2-3 weeks waiting to receive PSA marriage certificate after I reported the LCR marriage contract to PSA in Baguio.

Thank you I'll let her know, but what if she's in Iloilo she just flew back a day ago. Does she have to get it in person from the office in manila?

You can simply request an expedite while at the local registry, you do not have to hand carry it to PSA Manila

I mean to pick it up after

Go to any PSA office to request a copy, if it has been entered into their system it will be issued.   You can even do this online  ;)

She went today and they said come back on the 15th for the endorsement. Then call the psa to find out when it's available.

Local registry is taking 2 weeks?   Hmm ~

9 days I mean on the 14th. She has a receipt also from it they charged 200 peso.

P200 isn't bad.  Hopefully they expedite sending it to PSA as well and have it marked for expedite.

You would need to go to their main PSA office at Times St quezon city. My mom did just that. My report of marriage was not yet converted into the system (Was married in singapore & it would have taken 6 months to be converted & appear in the psa) but my mom went to the Times St psa office, brought a copy of my interview letter from NVC & requested NICELY if she can have it printed on security paper. We got it 2 days later.

Also, no, they do not ask for "fees" it is different back then. Red tape or bribery is not accepted. Every one of the psa employee is surprisingly abiding this.

Did you  report your marriage through the consulate in Singapore where you were married?    Process takes 4-6 weeks after filing with the consulate.
