Doing Taxes while waiting for EAD

Hey Guys so I have a question! 

 

I didn’t do my taxes this year (January 2017) because I didn’t make enough income. I only worked for maybe 2-3 weeks in the Summer & according to my W2 It came out to a total of 2k. My husband didn’t have his EAD yet and I am trying to do my taxes now on Turbo Tax since he has his Interview for his Green Card next month & he now has a SSN. He just got his EAD a few days ago & he starts his new job tomorrow. I will be filing jointly since we are married so I need to fill out some of his information. For Occupation would I put “Unemployed” since he didn’t have his EAD yet or stay at home dad since we had a baby last year? I just don’t want to do it wrong. I am thinking “unemployed” but I wanted to ask on here first in case someone had the same experience & if you could tell

me what you put as occupation.
