received letter today (maybe yesterday) letting us know that my wife has a biometric appointment on July 17th.  We had previously received notice that the biometrics will be re-used.  Oh well.  We will be there on the 17th.  Still no update for us on either website.  I will consider this progress towards the ultimate goal :)

This is exactly our situation as well. We got a NOA sometimes in April that we did not need to do Biometrics. Few days ago we received another NOA, telling us to come get the Biometrics done on 17th. We have never been able to see any updates on the website from day 1. Only updates we got where through mail. We are happy and looking at this as a progress in right direction. 

 

Does anyone know how long to wait after Biometrics is done, to remove the condition from green card?

Just made a successful early walk-in attempt at biometrics. I decided to do it in the afternoon and also put on a nice sports coat (in a 95degree weather). I think I made a very good impression on a very grim-looking receptionist who inquired about the reason for my early walk-in. I mentioned that my workplace is in a different corner of the city so it would be inconvenient on the day of appointment. This was definitely not a very convincing reason but given the hall only had three people sitting for a place that had 40 chairs - he let me do the early walk-in. I thanked him profusely for this big favor that he granted upon my person.

Our status is stuck at "new card is being produced" for more than 10 days.  Anyone experiencing the same?  Most of cases I've seen here the card was delivered in a week or so.  I thought the status should quickly changed to "Card mailed out or USPS picked up" in a few days.

Just got a notification this morning that the 10 year green card is being produced. I’ll keep everyone updated on how long it takes to arrive in the mail.
