Got my letter is to redo my fingerprints, even if they send letter en March 2019 that they going to reuse my old ones,  but I think is a good thing I read when send you a letter to redo fingerprints got approved after that, I hope this is the case will be a blessing.

Yep, it's same with me. My fingerprints were waived but it looks I will have to redo them again.

After not hearing anything since March about our biometrics being reused and not being able to check our case status on one of the sites and the app, we came home today to a letter with an appointment to do the biometrics again. Just in time too as we were just about to apply for citizenship since we haven’t heard anything, now we will probably just wait until we get the renewal card.

Is anyone going to try a walk-in rather than wait for their appointment?

Hi everybody! I got a USPS notification about a USCIS mail coming...I'm guessing they are  sending biometrics appointment (I got the waiver but seeing the current pattern it seems very likely I'll have to do it again). The thing is I am not in the US at the moment and I was wondering how long usually it takes for them to send you a new appointment.

Thank you!

Before you got the notification yesterday, was your status on USCIS website showing "At this time USCIS cannot provide you with information for your case."?

My timeline is very similar to yours and no RFE, no transfer since 6/13/2018.

Yes, it was the exact same message

Maybe your center does walk-in for biometrics.....unless you wanna wait until the date they gave you.

I can understand if biometrics was waived in 2018 but early 2019 the waiver was given only to now come back and say they need y'all to come back...? Gosh....USCIS knows how to strike your last nerve :bonk:

Hang in there.....do a walk-in biometric if possible.

Everyone's appointment date differs depending on what office they are sending you to. I'm in West Palm Beach like you and I know they do not have a crazy backlog and accept walk-ins at the Application Center on Congress Ave. You only know the biometrics appt date when you get the actual letter.....could be one week from the date on the letter....could be two weeks.

I know a couple who was out of the country at the time when they got biometrics appt and they had to reschedule it several times which caused a delay in the application approval process.
