Hello everybody, my wife filed for ROC (Vermont) last year, USCIS recevied her application on 6/28/18 and then NOA1 came in shortly after that with her extended green card letter for 18 months. Yesterday she got a letter from USCIS saying they completed a preliminary review of the application and her case was being transferred to Potomac Service Center. I was checking the processing times and it looks like Potomac (11 to 13.5 months) is working faster than Vermont (12 to 16 months) We are planning on applying for her Citizenship as soon a she becomes elegible on 9/24/19.

It is SO weird that I've been checking https://egov.uscis.gov/casestatus/mycasestatus.do from day 1 and always got "Validation Error. The case number entered is either incorrect or does not yet exist."

I also had to try using https://myaccount.uscis.dhs.gov/ but that didn't move from stating "We have received your application."

Today, I see that they have actually made movement on my case and the update showed up on https://egov.uscis.gov/casestatus/mycasestatus.do :D

I felt as though I was stuck in a rut while others were getting their cases moved around.

Two things that give me anxiety:

1. Game of Thrones

2. USCIS

🙄

I am considering to apply for N-400 because My passport is expiring August 19. I am from Venezuela; (long-short story) things in my country are not ok 😞, and Venezuela 's embassy in the U.S is not working since January, so I have no way to get an extension for my passport. I really don't want to delay my "lifting conditions" by starting the naturalization but also have family over there and want to be able to visit if something happens😓
I just got transferred to Potomac, and I already able to file my green card anniversary is 08/05. Any advice?? 🧐

PS: No, a lawyer is not an option 😝.

:luv:If you're tearing down my world, please just try to do it gently. There is love inside.... (L)
