Hi guys,

I received NOA on 6/21, CSC filer and trying to estimate tentative timeline for bio-metrics appointment.

We are planning to travel outside US in mid November and return back in last week of December but worried that what if we receive bio-metrics appointment notice in the mail when we are gone and miss the appointment. Recently I did inquiry with USCIS regarding travelling concern, in email they said "Please know your name has been added electronically to appointment scheduler and you will receive ASC notice once date is established for you." I am not sure if this is automated reply or someone at USCIS actually looked into file and emailed us. Even then it does not tell the date or anything. 

I have heard that appointment can be rescheduled but that is possible after notice is received. In our case, due to travel we will not be able to check if notice has arrived and can't think of anyone who can open our mail box either. 

Please advise.

Hey everyone ! 

We submitted ours in June as well. Received the 1 year extension notice in July. But have no received any biometrics notice yet. It has been about 4 months. Is that the normal timeline ? 

I tried to check the status using the reciept number on uscis website and it said no information could be found and i should call them. I called them and entered the number through the phone and was given the same reply that nothing was found. Is there something wrong ?? Anything else I can do to find out what’s going on??

CSC is taking way longer than before but recent news on USCIS website posted on Oct 18 says something like they have completed data entry of I-751 cases so may be now it can go faster. Create myaccount on USCIS and add case number as paper filed and you can see status update.

Hey! Thanks! I will try that. I had a feeling the California center was just taking a long time. But got worried because every time I checked case status online or called, they just couldn’t find it. But I mean I already got the extension notice so obviously the case exists. Will update when I get more info. Thank you!

I don't think anyone has heard anything yet if they are a CSC Filer...I was looking at the may filer's and they don't even look they have heard anything either...very frustrating...

Hello everyone i also filed in july and got my extension to the expired green card. I want to travel for the new year to mexico and i am wondering if it is safe or not.  The notice of action i received says it is extends work and travel i will just have to present that with the green card. Has anyone traveled already?
