Hey guys, my GC expires 9/13 so I guess I will be filing this month as well, let’s do this together! I’ve been super lazy with the gathering of documentation so I really need to buck up.

my biggest concern right now is my employment. I’m a Delta flight attendant so I fly in and out of the country a lot. How will this process affect my ability to get through immigration in a timely fashion? I don’t want to have a secondary every time I come back into the country!

also, the letter only extends the date for one year right? And I heard it typically takes more than a year to complete the ROC? So can I still work for Delta when it does expire?

I don’t have tons of proof other than the usual joint bank accounts and stuff and my summer flying schedule is hectic so I don’t know if I can find time to attend biometric appointment. I’m not worry tho because we are a legit couple but I just worry about my employment with Delta.

please tell me that I’m thinking too much.

Marcus.

First off, I will say you can't miss the biometrics if you're scheduled. So you'll need to figure out something there.

Second, after your year extension expires, you simply make an infopass appointment and go to a local USCIS office and get a I-551 stamp. That stamp will be your green card for another year, after your NOA year extension expires.

Your job should be affected by none of this, as long as you make sure to attend your biometrics and get a stamp in your passport after your year extension expires.

Good evening,

I have question regarding I751, I completed the 11 page packet. I have not yet organized the evidence. But one of the questions ask in part for about if the child are filing with him?

I answered no because the children are still in JAMACIA.

What is the best way to file for the children at this point?

Thank you 🤗

Future wife of LGF

Anyone got NOA from USCIS?  Our application arrived at 6/4 and check we sent in still has not been cleared.

If you are filing at CSC then you're looking at about a 30 day wait right now.

CSC just started processing around the 10th of May. Some people in April are still waiting for theirs.

If you are VSC then probably wait another week.

We did but because we’re overachievers to be honest. I just think it helps the agent understand our couple dynamic a bit better. We also had affidavits overnighted from 5 different countries so it was definitely the most expensive piece of evidence, ironically. To me photos and affidavits are not required but they’re kind of expected you know? I could be totally wrong.

I have the same concern. They received the package on June 4th and green card expires July 16th. Anyone know if you can still work?

The title deed, even if not a joint mortgage is a big green flag! And yes, spouse can be joint owner of the property even if the mortgage is not joint. Good luck house hunting (if not already found something).

Hi there,

I did not write my A# on any page.

Yes, to your second question. I did not submit same documents that USCIS already has in their posession.

I highlighted my account numbers/important stuff

Also, VSC just cashed my check!

Resubmitted 6/1 for using expired form, delivered 6/4, check cashed 6/15.

One other thing to think about in regards this issue other than what has been said, one to three months prior to expiration of letter you should make an infopass appt at your local USCIS office and get a I551 stamp in your passport. This will give you an additional extension. You would then just update the GE as was stated before with the new extension. Every office is different as to how soon before the expiration they will do the I551 stamp as I have read in other posts. Hope this helps.
