It is within 30 days.  Told them it expires on 3/1/2020.

When they called back they still said there are no appointments available at the Boston field office for the REST OF THE MONTH and they are unable to open additional appointments...   They followed up with an email stating the same.

Kept calling.  Today they called back and scheduled an appt for Friday 2/14/2020

My child who is my U.S. spouse's legal stepchild received the 10 year green card last week. How long do you think my card takes from now?

You filed at same time? No way to say how soon. Usually they are approved together.

Hey everyone,

so i field 751 on May 31 received June 5 of 2018 , did my N400 interview 12/4/2019 passed the interview but they couldn’t give me the approval until the 751 is approved but didn’t hear anything since then. the website shows they are processing 6/4/2018 if this is accurate I should hear something tomorrow if not I don’t know how long this will take , My case is in CSC .

is anyone else from June still waiting? And any recommendations of what I should do that can possibly speed up the process?

That's unfortunate they usually approve same time as the N-400 interview. Was your spouse with you?

We file May 2018. Our N-400 interview is Feb 27th. Many in my N-400 group for Houston are getting I-751 approved same time.

all you can do is wait.

I am in the same situation, finally got an appointment as my I-751 expires mid-March. Meanwhile, I am waiting for an interview date for N-400 in Boston. let me know if you get any updates.

What do you need to bring to the appointment? All your evidences and USCIS letters? Do they actually tell you any information on your I-751 taking so long?

Brought the letter, green card, etc....    The officer said he had no idea it takes 20 months for the 751.  I personally think our 751 paperwork is just sitting in a pile for the last 20 months and no one has even looked at it.

I also went for the infopass last week to get I-551 stamp. The officer told me the same thing that these cases take longer time and he does not have any idea how long more it will take.

He said, you are good for another 1 year with this stamp ( in other words he meant, don't even ask us again for 1 year lol )

Got the I-551 stamp for 6 months. officer had no information on my cases, such a cold personality.... Just FYI, officer was saying that putting in out of processing service requests will put you lower in the que for processing these.... very unusual...didnt' say why. she also said that the N-400 would be a combo interview. Hopefully will get update soon.

Why only 6 month stamp ? Generally, the 551 stamp is for 1 year.

Did the office mean that putting "outside normal processing time” request service delays the processing ? Weird !!

No idea, I assume its because they expect the cases to be resolved by then. Yup, that's what the officer said. So weird, said it would re-set your line for processing.

The whole appointment hardly took 10 mins. My N-400 was also filed last summer so waiting for an interview date in Boston since a few months now... Again, no idea on how this works because I have friends in the same situation who already got their N-400 interview date in Boston  who submitted application after me... and I haven't got interview notice yet...we submitted the same kind of evidences.. This system seriously needs overhaul and more staff.

When did you apply for the N400? I ask because I applied in June 2019, had my interview on Dec 4, 2019, and oath on Jan 8, 2020 (in MA).
