Quick question,

When I am filling out the indonesian addresses, should I put the addresses in english or indonesian? Indonesian uses roman alfabet, but im wondering if I should put "road" instead of "jalan" or "south" instead of "selatan"

example:

enlgish: Jalan senopati no 115, Jakarta Selatan

or

indo: Senopati Road number 115, South Jakarta

Thanks!

Put it as Jalan etc.. etc..

And to answer your main question, as others have suggested, you do not need any lawyer to do the K1 Visa process. If neither of you has been arrested / overstayed / break any serious rules or regulation you can do the whole process yourselves (i.e. you AND your fiancé) it's A LOT and NOT not stressful process but two heads are better than one.

K1 is as complicated and as simple as you make it. If you read the official form instruction you'll find the explanation of each the section of the form. This forum is filled with information so read and do your research.

GOOD LUCK!!!!

Another question

" Answer all questions fully and accurately.  If a question does not apply to you (for example, if you have never been married and the question asks “Provide the name of your current spouse”), type or print “N/A,” unless otherwise directed.  If your answer to a question which requires a numeric response is zero or none (for example, “How many children do you have” or “How many times have you departed the United States”), type or print “None,” unless otherwise directed."

So there is this paragraph that says for every question I don't need to answer I need to type or write N/A, but on the example form they just left it blank. Which one is correct?

Ok I am about done with the i-129f form,

what else do I need to put in the package? I have letters and pictures and boarding passes as evidence of a relationship and that we have met in the last 2 years.

I need a photocopy of my passport right? anything else?

oh the check haha

Also the 2x2 pictures of her and of me

and the intent to marry forms. Can she just print it out, sign it, then scan it back in and email it to me? Or does she have to send it via snailmail? -_-

anything else I'm missing?

Letters are meaningless.

Proof of us citizenship?

passport entry stamps?

termination of any previous marriages?

previous names used?

Intent letter needs to be signed but it can be scanned and emailed to you

So just use birth certificate instead of visa, and get the passport entry dates photocopied.

no previous marriages or names,

thank you

Don't forget to write your name and also your fiance name in the back passport photo style.

For the letter intent to marry letter she need to send you the original paper with sign. Anyway I'm Indonesian, you can tell your fiance to email me at dlaras17@yahoo.com then I can give her my number so we can talk on WhatsApp about it. Feel free to contact me anytime :)

oh does it have to be the original paper for the intent to sign? because those things always take 6 weeks or something or get lost in the mail -_-

dan ya saya bisa kasih email anda ke dia nanti, pasti kami akan perlu bantuan nanti ketika dia harus diwawancarai, makasih!!

Yesss, I think so, cause I was doing so many research about it before we sent it to USCIS, and most of them told me it has to be original sign. Give them evidence of your Relationship as much as you can, to make it more legit.

Yess give it to her, and also if you still confusing about the document just tell her to contact me, it would be easier to talk to her with bahasa hahahaha so I can explain her clearly about it.

Don't forget to double check again all the papers before you send it to them. Good luck!

No, it doesn't have to be original. USCIS has changed its guidance. Scanned, then printed copy is fine.

No, it doesn't.

I only submitted the scan copy of it and our K1 was approved fairly quickly (5 years ago).

So all of the Indonesian addresses are really long and don't fit well in the form, so I'm using part 8 for the address. (Not the dates or anything, just the address.) Do I need to write anything in the address part referring to part 8? Or just leave it blank?

Also, do I need to refer to an attached piece of paper? I will be using a while sheet to explain how we met, do I just need to type "see attached" or something like that?

Thanks!

You can just write a couple sentences on how you met. "We met in (location) on (month, year)". They don't care about the details.
