i751 question- I think i made a big mistake

Hello All:

 

I need the community help/advise on this matter.

 

I received my I-797C- NOA for my 120 day reminder notice on 2/21/2018(received date on the letter) for the conditional permanent resident status.  In the notice, it says file "within the 90 days prior to the second anniversary" which will be 6/18/2018.

 

The Vermont center received my i751 file on May 21, 2018 making it 89 days from the received date of 2/21/2018.  Did i follow the instructions properly or filed late?  I still have not got the checks cashed.  It has been almost 2 weeks.........

 

Can someone help me with this matter?  My wife green card is expiring on June 18 and we have to travel because of her Ill mother overseas......

You filed within the 90 days. There is no issue here. Hopefully you will get the extension letter soon.

Travel is fine with the NOA, stamp , expired GC and the extension letter they will send out  

They probably will not stamp the I 551. The letter and expired greencard are legal travel documents, and that is what they will likely repeat.

 

I 551 is stamped in passport IF the extension letter expires before 10-year greencard is issued.

I agree, no point in trying to get a stamp until the letter is close to expiring.
