Infopass Best Practices

Hi all,

 

I hope this is in the right part of the forum. I've checked some past Infopass discussion topics on this but seem a little out of date (though I've tried those recommendations).

 

My husband's GC was in the recall batch from Feb-April 2018, and we were hoping to go up to Canada during the time we await for the new card to be sent to us.

 

In trying to get an I-551 stamp, I've had a terrible time trying to find appointments with Infopass. I check at midnight and a little before midnight. I check at 7am and a little before 7am. Our closest is in Fairfax, VA. Any help? Suggestions? Thoughts?

Why not call the CBP port through which you would exit the U.S., and ask to speak with a supervisor?

This might not be the first such experience for them, and they may know workaround solutions.

 

Call ahead right now.  Document the date/time of your discussion, and the name of the supervisor.

The supervisor might also be able to tell you whom to speak with on the Canadian side, for admission to Canada.

 

I wonder whether the USCIS letter that recalled your husband's GC can be validated or used somehow.
