June 2018 filers of I-130 for Parents

I’ll be filing for my parents on June 14th. Realized there’s no thread for June filers for parents so decided to create one. Please share your journey  here. Good luck to everyone

Hi JeanneSs,

 

My application was rejected on 5/25 so when I sent it back it was accepted 6/7. My priority date is now 6/8 so I became a June filer. Nebraska Service Center! Let the wait begin 😊

Sorry your application was rejected but I’m glad you’ll be a June filer! My oath ceremony is on Wednesday. Will mail my application after. Welcome on board! 😝

Thank you 😊 good luck Wednesday! And DO NOT send 2 payment forms. That was my mistake. Send only the check or the credit card form. 

 

I’m still waiting on the NOA1 to confirm PD. Not sure if online is correct. But it is Nebraska Service Center, which I’ve been reading it’s not the best 😩 I’m going to be praying for it to move quickly!!!

Thanks for letting me know. Can I fill N-445 before the ceremony? Also do I have to sign or write my name at the back? Do I put my residence address or address where the oath ceremony will be held?

Yes, fill it all out before the ceremony, and sign all before. Otherwise you have to sit down and do it there. Put your home address.

Finally mailed my parents application today. How long did it take to charge your credit card?@Asgardian

Timeline

 

4/21 - mailed packet to Chicago lockbox

            I sent my application for ma and pa in one envelop so they can process it together, and put a universal cover letter                  stated the contains of  the envelop.

4/23 - mail delivered and received

4/29 - NOA1 received via text and email, both case accepted and routed to POTOMAC Service Center

Still haven’t received NOA1 because credit card was debited and credited the next day. I’m assuming they will reject my package but I haven’t received anything in the mail. I called Uscis and they couldn’t find it in their system so I don’t know what to do now. I’m getting worried.

@JeanneSs it’s possible it will get rejected! Mine took a few days too before it was rejected, no email or text. I just suddenly received the whole application back via mail. 

 

Why do you think it was rejected?
