Hi everyone! It’s me again. My fiancé and I are starting the application process. I have a few questions regarding evidence of meeting/relationship. We started dating on April 2017. He visited me this April of 2018 and spent a month together and with my family. And they love him as well him to them. After meeting, we decided that we will get married. However, we never get the chance to take photos with my family as we we’re just having fun. My fiancé and I always prioritize quality of the moment and don’t really take a lot of pictures (Also, we didn’t know these requirements before).

Having said that, will it affect our application if we don’t have any photos with my family? If it will be, what can be done with it? Meeting again soon won’t be possible because of his work. We have photos together but none with my family.

Also, regarding chat logs or phone calls, we both resetted our phones after his trip. We back up the photos however the chatlogs from the app where we always chat has been deleted too. And so we have no proof of previous conversations prior to his arrival and a week after his departure. Can we just print any of the current chat logs we have atm?

Any suggestion on what we can use in replacement of the above mentioned will be appreciated. Also, does anyone has the same experience and just submitted what available proof they have and still got approved?

Thank you in advance!

I don’t think you will have much of an issue with these things. At this stage with your application, they will be looking to see if you have met in person at least once in the past year, and proof of that meeting (boarding passes for flights, passport stamps, hotel reservations.) I would make sure to have those things and then add a few pictures of you both together. You don’t need to show every communication you’ve had - just put together maybe a couple of snap shots per week or even just a few per month from Messenger, What’s App, email, or whatever you use, using the current saved conversations you do have, just to show that you have regular contact with each other. Also, at the interview stage probably several months from now, you’ll have another chance to show more “proof” from between the time you filed your application until the interview at the embassy (more time to gather additional communications, pictures, details from more trips to see each other...)

I-129F Sent: 12/29/17

I-129F NOA 1: 1/4/18

I-129F NOA 2: 7/9/18

NVC Received: 7/18/18

Consulate Received: 8/9/18

Packet 3 Received: 8/13/18

Interview Date: 9/20/18

Interview Result: Administrative Processing

*Visitor's visa interview: December 2016, called back by embassy for second interview on same visa application in January 2019 - visitor's visa finally issued May 2019.

*Fiance visa placed in administrative processing September 2018.

*Beneficiary's Country: Norway via Iran.

It will not be an issue, there is no need to have family pictures, and how could they verify it's your family anyways.

Just when you think you have TDS eradicate,  a new case shows up.
