NOA2 to Interview timeline?

I have been researching this and have been getting all sorts of answers:

1. How long does it take to go from NOA2 to interview when applying for I-130 from Canada?

2. What can one do to minimize this time?

If you're referring to IR1/CR1 visa, currently the wait time is about 5 months if and only if everything goes right. About 2-3 weeks from Noa2 to get to nvc, another 8-10 weeks for a case number, a week for forms to open, another 3 weeks for a case complete and then about 7-8 weeks for interview. This timeline is constantly changing though so ymmv when it's your turn. 

 

There is absolutely nothing that you can do to speed up the process minus perhaps an expedite, but you can get all your documents ready to submit when the online interface is open for you.

Our I-130 approval (NOA2) was May 11th, and we had an NVC case number by June 15th, much faster than 8-10 weeks. Now trying to get a correct estimate on interview date from submitting our docs so I can try to time it around travel plans
