How long it takes to get email/text from USCIS?

I just received SMS from them today said they need initial evidence for my Form I485, not sure what they need yet until the mail arrived. Hopefully not something trouble.

I am thinking maybe they gonna ask for the I-693, Report of Medical Examination and Vaccination Record? cos when i mailed my packet the record is not ready yet.

😩 what kind of evidence you think they gonna need?

The most common cases I have seen so far were the following:

• joint sponsor needed because income on i-864 was insufficient
• USCIS lost a document and needs the copy (of course they'd never admit to that in writing lol)
• You actually forgot a document or proof

Could be anything. So wait for the letter to arrive and you can respond to it accordingly.

Okay so the letter arrived, its what i guessed before (about my i-693).

 

From my understanding, i don't have to email them the I-693 to them now until i receive an interview notice? Am i correct?

Hm this is weird. This is only the courtesy letter that everyone receives. I got that one too. I think you are still getting your letter for your RFE in the mail. It's only been 5 days. I think you will receive it this or next week.

I called to USCIS to verify cos this letter and the email i got is kinda confusing. I asked them if they dont need me to send the 693 to them, is my case still being process?

The lady on the phone said my case is in pending status now, all I need to do is just hold on to my 693 until i received the interview letter and bring the 693 to them.  I'll see if i will get another letter later then. lol

The courtesy letter is definitely not a RFE.

just called again and still the same answer - don't need to mail them the I-693 and just waiting for the interview notice.  Maybe this is a new procedure?

I tell them but the sms/email said USCIS need me to send them the evidence and Im just worry my case is on hold due to that? And she said that's just the courtesy letter and i dont have to worry, the speed of the status update just depends on the state office.  '

Might I asked why didnt they accept your card payment?
