NVC IV application payment paid then suddenly not paid

I had no problems paying the AOS fee with a bank transfer from the CEAC website. But already twice I've failed to pay the IV fee. The payment is accepted after a few days then a day or so  later is suddenly rejected and I have to try to pay it again. The money of course is still in the bank. Has this happened to anyone else?  I mean specifically the part of having the IV fee appear as "paid" then later go back to being "pay now" because the previous payment was rejected?

You had the exact same problem? You would pay, it would be "in process" for a few days, then would change to "paid" for day or two, then change back to "pay now" because the system realized the payment was actually rejected?

How many times did that happen? It's twice already for me, seemingly "paid" then changed back to "pay now" and rejected. And how did it finally go through, did you talk to your bank or it just went through and stuck the last time?

Yes. I talked to the bank because l tried three times and the system showed me "error", then "paid" and l thought the system had charged me three times. The bank told me that nothing was pending. So, l read here on VJ that something similar had happened and the person just wait, so l did the same and after two or three days l do not remember exactly how many days,  "paid now" was available again. I paid with no problem.

Try call NVC and confirm if the payment was made.

I don't remember exactly how it went through in the end, but it did. Jut make sure everything is entered correctly and the payment method is actually working.
