Hello,

My case is sitting in NVC for over a month now when they assigned me the visa number it was going to an incorrect embassy so I send the request for change of embassy which they received it and per NVC they are still working on it and still under an admin process does anyone here had an similar situation like mine that NVC is doing the change of embassy and what is the time frame for it? This is getting frustrating I should have let them sent to the incorrect embassy and contacted myself to the embassy for the correction now I don't have any control over it.

Doing it yourself probably would have saved you a little time. No one can say how long this will take. Every case is different.

Remember when your teach had a stamp of a smiley face and a frown and she would stamp away in correcting your work. I need a stamp like that for "No one can say" because most of the process no one with any certainty can tell you when something is going to be done. The closes is a guess. Not very accurate.

We got approved... though I hear it was not an easy interview compared to many of the reviews for our embassy, lots of questions.... but the important part is we got our approvals and can book plane tickets as soon as she has her visa in hand!

Congrats! Post a review when you all get settled.

My plan too. I dont want to think anymore never mind write an essay.

Just booked my flights yesterday. It was hellish because my K2 is a cat with asthma so I've been trying to figure out which flight plan I can go with her and which aircraft has a big enough underseat capacity and what documents she will need to stopover in each state we need to enter (cuz they are ALL different, lol). So basically I had to promise my left arm and right ####### to pay for two separate legs of flights on two different carriers, my eyeballs to pay for her two separate tickets on the two different airlines and my unborn son to pay for our three bags...which will have to be rechecked and, you guessed it, repaid for. I AM excited though. Excited I wont have to eat beans and weiners alone.

Good luck on your fiancée's POE! Cant wait for all of us!

About 22 days from the day we got our case number ☺

Hello!!! I  am

dropping my papers tomorrow. I was quite surprised that they are only asking me to drop the following:

Beneficiary original birth certificate

Front page of passport copy

Police clearance

I-134

Medical result

Ds-160 confirmation page

is this normal? I thought they would need updated letter of intent, certificate of no marriage, but they did not ask this for the drop.

Any similar experience? I just want to get this right please.

They aren't going to give you a new SSN because you only get one in your lifetime and it doesn't ever change. So I would say yes you have to input it because if you dont and they investigate that you DO have a SSN, they could call you out for not filling out the form completely.

What reason would you think to omit the truth?

Thank you. I'm not trying not to tell the truth. I just want to make sure that I'm doing everything correctly. Thank God I was right that I should input it there😊

Thanks a lot girl! :) Question how long did it take before you got ur visa from your interview date/approval?

You’re welcome 😁 I haven’t got my visa until now. It’s been 8 days already. But my friend I met during my interview got hers yesterday. She just picked it up in 2Go SM Cebu branch.

And btw, I’m from Cebu. The other friend I know got hers in just 4 days and she’s from Olongapo. 😀

@Greenbaum or anyone who knows the answer please I need your help. My fiance can't find the copy of our NOA1 and NOA2. Will there be a problem? Or is there a way that we can ask for another copy of it. TIA

You will need a copy of your NOA2 as proof of an approval for an underlying petition to file the I485 for AOS. You can request a copy to be sent to you by USCIS but it costs a considerable amount of money. You do not need it prior to your Visa being approved but you will need it later to adjust status.
