Is there anyone who knows what original documents need to be mailed to their fiance? I have many things that are just scanned and I was planning to just sent anything that had my actual signature on it such as AOS, letter from my employer ect. I also have those pages such as cover pages that I sign or intent to marry. Are these necessary to be original or are there any documents that don't require my signature that I should send originals of? I know every embassy is different, but the only two I have talked to that went through Turkey, were there in person and got to bring everything. I'm trying to avoid the 200+ shipping fee for all documents.

Also, we were approved to sign up for an interview July 9th and there have still been no openings. If anyone that went through Turkey has experienced this and has any tips or maybe we have not completed a step that was over looked, that would be great! I'm getting nervous because there is a holiday coming up August 17th - 27th and nothing can be done during that time. Really hoping we can get something before.

Thanks Greenbaum. It is the English spelling that has a discrepancy in her first name. How do I go about having this corrected, since all of our documents are already at the embassy? I suppose we could have her passport changed if it’s easier

Since its at the Embassy address with the CO during the interview. You didn't say if the passport is correct?

Yes, the passport is spelled the way Ukraine likes it. So we will go with that. And yes, I will address it with the embassy. I called NVC today and they say said it’s not a major problem, just talk to the embassy about it. Thanks Greenbaum!

Everyone in this thread is filing a K-1 so they have little or no knowledge of the CR-1. There is a CR-1 section just like for K-1's. You may want to go to the main menu and search for it.  http://www.visajourney.com/forums/forum/134-ir-1-cr-1-spouse-visa-case-filing-and-progress-reports/

Hey guys! Quick question - I received my NVC case number over the phone back at the beginning of July. The guy I spoke to on the phone gave my my new NVC case number, as well as an invoice number. I'm not seeing a lot of mention of the invoice number in posts that other people who've applied for a K-1 visa have written. Does anyone know if that invoice number may actually apply to a different K visa, or is this something that we would need to pay before the interview?

Our case has already arrived in London and is "ready," but I'm very confused about why he would have given me an invoice number if it doesn't apply. So, I'm just curious what everyone else's experience has been, in that regard. Thoughts?

Invoice number does not really play a role in this process
We think that's just another layer of the case but for the sake of the K1 and getting your visa, you don't need it.

Am sure NVC/embassy uses it for something. Just not something that we see/impacts your case at this stage.

My flight is on 14 Aug, POE SFO. I just need the Cfo sticker (already attended the seminar prior interview).

Took us 48 days from NOA 2, wow we are thankful, fiancé and I are so delighted 🤩🤩

Congrats. You know you can get the CFO Sticker at NAIA or any of the CFO locations if that works for you.

That has nothing to do with the K-1 visa so just ignore it. Your safe.
