Congrats.  My fiancée has her interview in manila on Friday 840.  What type of questions did they ask?  She is nervous and i want to try and calm her down about the interview.

Some example questions would be:

What is the name of your fiancé/e?

Where did you meet?

When did you meet?

How did you meet?

When are you planning to get married?

What is your fiancé/es work?

Have you gone out of the country?

How long were you out of the country?

How many times has your fiancé/e visited you?

Where did you go when your fiancé/e visited you?

Do you plan to have kids?

Where do you plan on staying in the US?

These are some of the questions but rest assure that all the questions will be about the petitioner, the beneficiary, and the relationship. Always tell the truth even if the truth is "I don't know". Don't rush in answering and give a straightforward answer. Look the CO in the eye when answering and smile. Don't give a novel as your answer. Just brief and concise. Don't volunteer any information unless asked, this could send you down the wrong road. The interview will last all of 5 min and she will be done. She just needs to be calm and in control of her emotions.

Don't forget to ask if you passed.

We are a June NVC, then today it's in Transit to Embassy in Manila. I could use some advise to make sure I don't make this process one second longer then it already is.

We are Applying for the K1, the NVC website says

"Your case is in transit to the Consular Section. Your interview date was provided to you by the National Visa Center."

But I didn't get a date or email or anything, when I called NVC they said they didn't have that info ;)

My Fiancé has had friends say to her about paying some fee at a bank, I'm confused if we need to have her fill out the 6 steps on the website?

Or just wait for the Embassy to contact her by mail then do the next step? Im trying my hardest to get her here fast.

First off the information your received is for a immigrant visa, better known as a CR1 (that's a visa for someone who is married already and is immigrating to the US) and yours is a non-immigrant with intentions of immigrating. I'm not trying to confuse you - trust me.

The K-1 process is quite strange. For a time, it is both a non immigrant and immigrant visa type. That is why the links send you the process for immigrant which would be the I-864 even though it truly is a non immigrant visa requiring I-134. As you go through the stages, within the NVC system you look up your file under immigrant. It stays that way until after approval and ready for issue. At that point, it changes over to non -immigrant. It truly is a non immigrant visa with immigrant intent.

If you are trying hard to get there fast then follow this information. I guarantee is the easiest and fastest way to get a visa from USEM.

Once you receive your case number it's time to be in charge of what time you choose when things get down. To smooth that trail for your I have a few things that will help you process your visa there in the Philippines.

Start by visiting Hanks web site where he has taken the time and research, and of course it helps if you spent 8 plus years helping folks in the Philippines sub-forum get their visas, where he has listed each step. With those steps he includes the what, when and why to completing the item. Many have used the website and have had little or NO problems securing a visa from USEM.

http://www.visaconnection-philippines.com/k-1-visa-application.html

Next you'll want to connect with those who are processing through the Philippines in the VJ Philippines sub-forum that way you will be with like minded ppl who are sharing their experiences and also asking and answering questions. Since most in this thread are processing through another country they would be hard pressed to explain what is needed for the Philippines. They're struggling to learn their own process.

http://www.visajourney.com/forums/forum/129-philippines/

You'll find this on Hank's website but I will give it to you early and that is the Packet 3 Letter for USEM. It's found here:

https://ph.usembassy.gov/visas/immigrant-visas/fiancee-visa/the-interview/

Here is the Packet 3 letter.

https://ph.usembassy.gov/wp-content/uploads/sites/82/2016/08/K1-and-K2-Applicant-Interview-Preparation-Instructions-08112016-English-336KB.pdf

There you have it. Everything you need to get your visa. Good luck and smooth sailing.

@Cyberbro One more item. Many of our answers are predicated on the information you supply in your profile. When we look at the left column and can't determine your timeline or your Embassy it's hard for us to give you a factual answer. If you look at the profile others here, they have a flag for their country, so it makes it easy for us to reply as we can quickly determine your Embassy. Our answers will sometimes be tailored to a specific Embassy hence the reason for you to complete your profile.

So, if you could help yourself out and complete your profile sure would help us out when we want to reply to your question.

Go to the top right of this page select your name (it's on the upper right hand corner)>my profile>[below your picture on the right column] edit my profile. Scroll to the bottom and fill in "Immigration Info". There now we can better serve you.

Thanks

Oh ok! If you don’t mind me asking what city in Germany are you in? Also the medical people told my fiancé he would receive his results from his appointment within 1-2 weeks after. I thought they got everything at the end of the appointment?

@GreenbaumSo my fiancee had her medical exam Monday and Wednesday and seems to be going good. She was told Monday she needed to see a Dermatologist to find out what allergies she has. So she goes to a Dermotology doctor Tuesday near where she's staying and got it done and then yesterday at SLEC they told her it had to be a SLEC Dermatoglist and another 1,300p!! :angry:Well why didn't they tell her that in the first place? Well anyway she's good and Friday's the big day for her interview. You know in the Philippines NOTHING is easy when it comes to requirements and $$$$$. She asked how early she can be there at the embassy and I told her I think no earlier than 30 minutes but I could be wrong. Be blessed my friend and take care of the family!!  Don't mind putting up with your rants every now and then.
