Bluesdancer, praying for your fiancee and her safe arrival there. Make sure she has a umbrella so much rain there!! Anyway my fiancee will be there getting her medical exams done tomorrow and Tuesday so hope she does well as I am sure of it. Then Friday the 23rd she will have her interview around 8:40 am so hoping our gals stay safe and dry and who knows they might even meet each other. Blessings on you both Bluesdancer.

Hey All,

We received our NVC case number on Friday by calling into the NVC (NOA2 date July 9th) and are now filing out the DS160.  I have a question regarding the present work information section.  There's a drop down for Primary Occupation which includes only these options:

 

Agriculture

Artist/Performer

Business

Communications

Computer Science

Culinary/Food Services

Education

Engineering 

Government

Homemaker

Legal Profession

Medical/Health

Military

Natural Science

Not Employed

Physical Sciences

Religious Vocation

Research

Retired

Social Science

Student

Other

 

I work in the finance department at my company and am used to there being an option to select Accounting/Finance on most legal forms.  This is missing in this list however.  My company is in the meat industry.  So I'm wondering do I select:

 

Business - for working in finance

Culinary/Food Services - because my company sells meat

or

Other - because Finance isn't specifically listed.

 

Thoughts/ideas are most appreciated.  I've scoured the internet looking for an answer and haven't found one.

 Yesssssssssss......my fiance got approved at her interview before 8am at the US Embassy in Manila!!! Thank you everyone for all your amazing love and support going this process together!!! I am praying for all those who are still waiting that will be hopefully approved soon!!!! Yesssssssssss!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Someone needs to confess. Someone else on here also had their interview today at the US Embassy in Manila. They recognized the paperwork I created that my fiance was holding from my post on visajourney.com. I am curious who else had their interview today that was sitting next to fiance in manila at the US Embassy?

Hey, quick question... I'm trying to fill out DS 160 and am not sure which number I have to type in "Application Receipt/Petition Number" is it the WAC# or the number we got from NVC??? The explanation is not helpful, both starts with three letters and both have 13 signs. I tend to the WAC# but I'm not 100% sure

I used our NVC number there. I was told it doesn't really matter though.
